No way he is charged with obstruction.

We have video of him locking it in the vault, yes. But it's not a murder weapon or anything. It was a letter that Could eventually be evidence. If they get obstruction for that then

I think Jarecki should just be glad Durst didn't kill anyone else, in the last two years.

HOUSTON (KABC) -- Robert Durst, a real estate fortune heir linked to two murders and his wife's disappearance, was arrested Sunday just before the finale in an HBO show about his life aired in which he said he "killed them all."

FBI agents arrested Durst on an extradition warrant out of Los Angeles just before 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the JW Marriott hotel in New Orleans, where he had registered under an alias and paid for the room in cash. Fake documents were found in his possession.

The FBI believed he would flee, possibly to Cuba, as inaugural flights to the country began Saturday from New Orleans.

Well this isn't true. He may have been going to Cuba but there have always been flights to Cuba.

Yea but your gf was a student so they probably made an exception. I think being able to just buy a random ticket and take off to Cuba is a pretty recent deal.

Yeah it's all apart of Obama recently lifting the embargo against Cuba.

Maybe the above posters gf had some sort of student visa allowing her to travel there. Because I know during the embargo you couldn't just buy a commercial flight to Cuba for tourism.

Former friend of Durst testifies in court

quote:

For decades, Nick Chavin defended his friend, the New York real estate scion Robert A. Durst, against accusations that he had killed his first wife, Kathleen, and a close mutual friend, Susan Berman.

But all that changed during a quiet dinner with Mr. Durst at a Harlem restaurant in December 2014, Mr. Chavin testified in court in Los Angeles on Thursday. Mr. Durst had asked Mr. Chavin to dinner, saying he wanted to talk about “Kathie and Susan.”

The two men had finished their meal without broaching the painful topic. But then, on the sidewalk outside the restaurant, Mr. Chavin recalled Thursday that Mr. Durst suddenly said to him: “I had to. It was her or me. I had no choice.”

quote:

With the actual trial still as much as a year away, Mr. Chavin’s testimony in Los Angeles Superior Court was part of an unusual proceeding known as a conditional examination. Prosecutors can question witnesses before trial if they are 65 or older and in danger of dying or being killed before the case is heard.

quote:

Until this week, Mr. Chavin, who will be cross-examined Friday, had been referred to in hearings as the “mystery witness,” because his identity had not been publicly revealed.

His hot mic at the end of the series is still open of the creepier things I've seen in a documentary like this.

I would like to point out that this nearly two year old thread was bumped by Uncle Stu, the same guy who RA'd one of the best threads of all time, for the sole reason that
"bumping old threads is against the rules".

Well, look at you now.

(but Napoleon doesn't RA like a female dog)

Sadly it was like five years ago. It was a great thread, and then it was bumped, after it was bumped it was locked and then anchored.

Then you posted in it "Bumping old threads is against the rules" You had a ghostbuster avatar with your current face. Somewhere it said "I ain't scared of no ghosts"

You see I remember all the BS and not the main point.

I'm not really mad either, I just said one day you will bump an old thread and I will RA it.

I only remember it was you because of the avatar.

The infamous FDB Pickle pie thread

_you

quote:

gotta learn the rules this thread is great - I love it + it has a link to the original no need to go to that thread and bump it for the sake of bumping it that's not the way things work around here
_you

quote:

Thanks for ruining THIS thread! 1. I didnt bump the old thread 2. I didnt make the rules - there were here before I 3. If i was in error, then why did the admin whack the thread?

yeah, I somewhat remember that

pretty sure I never actually RA'd that thread, but took responsibility for it, and generally played it up after the fact.

I know there's this myth that I RA all the time, when I actually dont at all, I just let it perpetuate. I wonder if an admin can pull up a screenshot of how many time I actually RA'd anything. It's probably less than 10 all time, and usually for "wrong board"

Durst murdered my neighbor in Galveston. The neighbor was a dick though, always screaming at people in the middle of the fricking night.
