Yeah probably the most boring race I've ever watched. Glad Vettel had nice run in the Ferrari. Sport is getting too watered down w mediocre teams

I think there may be a rule in place that has the engine design locked in during the year. Almost guarantees that each race result will end up the same.

After watching the Mercedes: Race to Repeat documentary it really makes one appreciate how much work goes into something like this.

Having a dozen cars in the race is a little boring. Maybe if everyone is competitive it makes it more fun.

Hamilton/mercedes snooze fest

Sebastian Vettel laughed off Nico Rosberg’s claim that he hopes Ferrari can catch Mercedes during a spiky press conference after Sunday's Australian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton, who romped to victory at the season-opening race in Melbourne, and team-mate Rosberg, finished more than half-a-minute clear of Vettel to seal an utterly dominant weekend for the world champions.

After the race, Rosberg said he hoped Ferrari would be able to bring the challenge to Mercedes, with he and Hamilton expected to dominate this term having won 16 of the 19 races in 2014.

Eh. Fairly interesting race. At least there was some racing for points in the back and some slight surge by Rosberg towards the end. Nasr and Sauber were impressive for sure and happy to see Vettel and Raikkonen(before his breakdown) doing well.

Wish the best for Red Bull but they're seriously disappointed in the Renault unit aren't they?

Apparently Vettel's status as opening lap nutcase only goes so far when the Silver Arrows have 50-80 more horsepower.

Lewis Hamilton on pole again for the Malaysian Grand Prix. However Mercedes didn't lock out the front row during qualifying as Vettel outqualified Rosberg.

Check out where Alonso is in the McLaren. Wow. I understand that Honda is currently running their engine at only 70% for reliability reasons, but I sure hope they can crank it up to 100% sooner than later for Alonso's sake. Sad to see such a great driver languishing at the back of the grid.

Malaysian GP starting grid:

1 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 1:49.834
2 Sebastian Vettel Ferrari 1:49.908 0.074
3 Nico Rosberg Mercedes 1:50.299 0.465
4 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull 1:51.541 1.707
5 Daniil Kvyat Red Bull 1:51.951 2.117
6 Max Verstappen Toro Rosso 1:51.981 2.147
7 Felipe Massa Williams 1:52.473 2.639
8 Romain Grosjean Lotus 1:52.981 3.147
9 Valtteri Bottas Williams 1:53.179 3.345
10 Marcus Ericsson Sauber 1:53.261 3.427
11 Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari 1:42.173
12 Pastor Maldonado Lotus 1:42.198
13 Nico Hulkenberg Force India 1:43.023
14 Sergio Perez Force India 1:43.469
15 Carlos Sainz Toro Rosso 1:43.701
16 Felipe Nasr Sauber 1:41.308
17 Jenson Button McLaren 1:41.636
18 Fernando Alonso McLaren 1:41.746

19 Roberto Merhi Manor 1:46.677
20 Will Stevens Manor No time

Hamilton has his work cut out if he wants to win the race. He is 12 seconds behind Vettel with 15 laps to go. If anybody can do it, its Lewis. #HammerTime

Rooting for vettel myself, it's gonna be an interesting finish. I don't think we'll see rain today though

Edit: Lewis sure sounds on edge lol

I think Mercedes messed up Lewis' last pit stop by not giving him the softer tires. He is just not fast enough at the moment. He snapped at his engineer after the pit stop that they put on wrong tires. If Lewis doesn't win here he will be pretty mad I think with the strategy of going with the harder tires for the last stint.

All I can say is Wow!! What a race by vettel. The way Hamilton was burning through those mediums I don't think he would have made it to the end without another pit if they had given him another set of mediums.

Great race by Vettel.

As an Alonso fan it stings a bit, but mclaren and Honda will fight back, although it may not be for a while.
