ha

The downvote to this post was most likely someone that wanted me to "document" some form of stupidity because their "attorney" said so.

I can see that. Don't know if it's true but I was told that in some states in the south like MS you don't even need a HS diploma to be elected to Chancery or maybe County Courts. Or some Judiciary.
You're talking about Justice Court judges. It's essentially small claims court. They handle misdemeanors and civil suits up to $3,500. Justice Court judges are elected. The are required to have a high school diploma. You can appeal from Justice Court for any reason as matter of right. I once listened to a Justice Court judge say that he didn't think he had jurisdiction to hear an equal protection argument. That attorney arguing the equal protection just asked "Is this court not bound by the Constitution of the United States and Mississippi?" Justice Court judge just said he would take it under advisement.

Insurance companies ADORE TV lawyers. Those incompetent twits scoop up a big chunk of cases and leave thousands on the table on each one.

The funniest part is when you talk to them, they have no clue how bad they screwing up. They making money on high volume fast turnover. Client thinks it's all good cause "he on TV he the man". Insurance company laughs all the way to the bank.

The incompetence I routinely see and hear is mind blowing.

ALWAYS lawyer up. Unless it's so minor you really don't need repairs. It will not cost you a penny (except the fees the lawyer takes from the money they get you).
Insurance never wants to pay for anything. The lawyer will set you up with a doctor. Get you MRIs to make it look worse, and really help out a lot. Even get you to a good doctor who prescribes the trinity and of course you get paid at the end.

What's your take, Festus? How's the quality of representation from the 'TV lawyers'?

Back when "dope" doctors were popular And before the DA crackdown on them you could go to one of the thousand pain med clinics with any mri of an injury and they already had stacks of pre written scrips of soma, xanax, Lortab... And people called it the "trinity"

Most docs quit writing the soma and xanax and pain docs (cash only)don't like writing stuff with as much tylonal as lortab anymore. Some write Norcos while most write just 10, 15, or 30mg oxycodones

lawyers send you to their doctor.

Doctor "takes" MRI.

Lawyer sues.

Lawyer pays for doctor and medical out of his pocket.

You get trinity and money. It's win win.

I just need someone to wreck into me.

This.

They were printed out. Hell the doctor didn't even sign them the tech rubber stamped them.

Then they send you to this pharmacy in Elmwood that had "counting" stations were people counted their pills before they left.
Surreal.
Again this was circa 2001 or 2000.

Most recently... I bought a car from a poster here. Little crappy car I used as a beat around. I sold it to a friend who wreck it. I sold him this car for $500. He got in a minor wreck but hurt his foot totaled the car. He now has a 2014 Hyundai, and had some cash left over...

Lawyer up.
