I'm going to assume at that price they're likely making an embryo donor out of her? Pretty common with high selling cows in the show cattle industry atleast.

I don't think she's ever been flushed. Supposedly, this is the only surviving mature son of hers.

People in the industry are on to new and "better" genetics, but I don't give two shits about what genetics an animal has. I want to see the physical animal standing in front of me. He passes that test with flying colors.

That whole industry has blown up in the last decade or so. I remember when a popular AI sire would die you'd see a mad dash to buy up any remaining semen. Now if he was selling enough they'll just make a clone or two or three.

He is a fine specimen. Sorry to bust your chops earlier, but I am intrigued with the cattle industry because I know so little about it.

I thought my godfather was bullshitting me when he was talking about cloned cattle. Directed me to a magazine on the table. Blew my mind.

This is the first bull I've ever seen sell based on his horn size and not ball size

Thank you.

Having a bull to "trade in" definitely softened the blow and it was time for a change. The high prices cattle are commanding these days made his asking price quite reasonable when you consider he nearly weighs a ton.

Eta: Pictures don't do him justice. He is basically twice as big as every cow I own. It's incredible. (That's a 2 year old angus cow in the background)
