Is Delmonico good these days? Thinking of eating there for an upcoming anniversary.

Coquette was first choice, but, no available reservations for that night.

Wife wants to try a new place- we have been to Bistro Daisey, Brightsens and clancy's last three times.

Any other suggestions? I looked in the other birthday thread for other ideas.

Here's a link to my review. If you search, I think Arse ate there not long ago.

Won't be of much help but thought I would chime in - ate there 8-10 years ago and everything was perfect.

I was in there back in the fall also and it was great as usual. A really good cheese board, the Rockefeller soup and I just can't get anything other than that NY Strip med rare. It's an incredible dry aged steak. Great wine list and great service.

But all listed above are worthy and Gautreau's as well. I'm a big Brigtsen's and Bistro Daisy fan.

Ate there in Jan for a business meal with clients. Group of 4 and we went all out on the expense account. One of the better meals I have had in a while. Apps, salads, steaks, bunch of sides, wine, drinks, desserts and I didn't have a complaint on any of it.

Had a waiter (can't remember his name) that is an Army vet and lives in Mandeville. He made the experience even better as if that was possible.

Been a few years, but one of the best meals and best service I have ever had. Ask for the table in the front bay window looking out at St. Charles.

Ate at Bistro Daisy a few months ago, while very good, not on the level of Delmonico IMO.

I was a regular when I lived in Uptown, and was always superb. I took my wife on her first trip to nola after raving about it an was an utterly disappointment to say the least. I'm not sure if it was a bad night, but prior to this it was always consistent.
