Seems like it. "I don't, I'm not good at talking."
So adorable.

Such a strange combination of fear and attraction

anyone else feel the johnny karate episode was a better send off?

Finished it up last night. Wow, top moments.
1. Jean-Ralphio fakes his own death for an intricate insurance scam with his sister Mona lisa saperstein to start a casino in the Middle East. Classic -
2. April gives birth as possessed Regan MacNeill. "No I want the make-up. I waited until I went into labor to put it on" -
3. Tom Haverford: "when I take it I'm a Tom, and sometimes a Donna."
4. Gale still a smokes how at Garry's 100th birthday
5. Ron park ranger. A nice send off for him
I was disappointed to not see a councilman Jamm appearance

I think this is one of the best final episodes ever. Sure, it's just wish fulfillment for every character, but you know what? They earned their happy endings. Most importantly, this was the rare show that was grounded in hope and positivity, so the happy endings just felt right. This was a kind, loving show, so everyone got a kind, loving end.
IT was genuinely touching. Leslie's speech to the commencement at IU summed up the beliefs of the show perfectly.

What I would've added:
Interior, House Chambers DC.
Joint session, camera pans from rear to podium where, President Leslie Knope is delivering State of the Union. As Pres. Knope speaks pan shots of her cabinet, filled with Parks characters and family. Same. Oddly, the Speaker of the House chair is empty.President Knope addresses the issue.
"Sadly, the Speaker could not be here tonight, as he is dealing with family issues."
Suddenly, mid-speech there is a technical difficulty and her speech is cut-off. We then switch to news broadcast of address where Perd Hapley is describing the mishap. We see the microphone cord ripped from the podium as the President speaks, and a short man run up the stairs to the stage and plop down in the Speaker's chair behind President Knope, putting his feet up on the railing leaning back. His final line before he leans back relaxing
"You just got Jammed, Madamme President" as he winks at the camera and throws his hands behind his head relaxing in his Speaker's seat.
The Speaker of the House is Jeremey Jamm. Even as President, Leslie can't escape the Jamm-man

kind of sad though, marks the official end of what used to be a great block of comedies on thursday night for NBC....The Office, 30 Rock, Community and Parks. Aside from Office none were ratings monsters, but were great comedies.

I hated that episode. I stopped watching about 1/3 of the way through. This finale was absolutely perfect because it gave me closure.

An equally boastful piece of branding, yes, but similarly on-point: Even with the boom of original cable programming, NBC remained the most powerful producer of challenging, intelligent comedy. The Office premiered in 2006; though a remake of a UK hit, it had a sharp originality lacking in most TV comedy. Other networks had clever standouts, most notably Arrested Development on Fox, but that show could never even settle into a timeslot and was cancelled before its time. NBC’s Thursday programming was no longer a ratings juggernaut, but it was the most fertile creative environment in mainstream television.
The Office was an actual hit, and by far the best NBC could do in terms of viewers. But built around it was a relatively stable assortment of critically acclaimed “cult hits,” almost all of them single-camera comedies, which marked a sudden reversal from the mainstream multi-camera laugh-track sitcoms that had dominated the previous two decades. Emmy-guzzling juggernaut 30 Rock debuted in 2006 and ran for seven seasons. The underrated and basically forgotten My Name is Earl, a white-trash sitcom with a heart of gold, lasted for four years. Parks and Recreation debuted in 2008, as did the whip-smart Community, which is the only survivor of the era. But Community will air its sixth season online at Yahoo, and Parks closed out its run in a fairly ignominious timeslot: 10 p.m. on a Tuesday, having burned its final season off in barely advertised, back-to-back airings.

If it wasn’t clear that NBC was out of the quirky comedy game, one indication was its decision to pass on the sitcom Mulaney in 2013. Produced by a network titan (Lorne Michaels) and starring one of its brightest young prospects (comedian John Mulaney, who had become a top writer at Saturday Night Live), NBC reportedly didn't pick the show up for fears that it would be too niche, even though it was a multi-camera project about the life of a stand-up comedian, echoing the glory days of Seinfeld. Mulaney’s relative youth and popularity on the Internet seemed to count against him, and the show was eventually picked up by Fox and significantly retooled.
In 2013, instead of Mulaney or the fifth season of Community, NBC rolled out a lineup that practically screamed “we wish it were 1984 again.” Parks led the night, but it was followed by culture-clash comedy Welcome to the Family (premise: What if a white lady married a Latino and their parents had to hang out?), divorced-dad multi-cam Sean Saves the World (starring Sean Hayes, softening but recycling his Will & Grace shtick) and seemingly the safest bet of all, The Michael J. Fox Show. The triumphant return of the Must-See TV wunderkind himself, with a new family sitcom to call his own. What could go wrong? Well, everything—the “NBC Family of Comedies,” as the new branding put it, didn’t last three episodes, and none save Parks made it through a full season.
just found an article that echoed the same sentiments LINK

I'm getting the Johnny Karate and Two Funerals episode crossed up, my bad. It brought back tons of old characters, Gerry becoming mayor, etc.

Pretty clever, as Christy Brinkley doesn't seem to age in real life or on a TV show.

So I got bored of studying last night and decided to watch the finale again. The NBC website has the producer's cut if y'all want to check it out. It has some added scenes and characters with a few extra flash forwards (Jamm makes an appearance)
