Ehh it's just a cheap gag, and really they didn't even need him to make that joke, instead they focused on the actual characters people will remember from the show.

I think Ben is president because he's got the American flag on his coat. Maybe it meant nothing, but that's my thinking.
Best series finale I've seen in a long time. Especially for a comedy.

The 21 stamp salute was great, as was 10 terms as mayor. The entire finale was perfect. I also love that they left it entirely up to the viewer whether Ben or Leslie was president.

I was expecting them to show that at some point and have the other be the vice president (as corny as that is). They did it well though. Very good finale. Not quite to scrubs but still pretty damn good.

The Scrubs original "finale" before they were picked up for another season on a different channel was one of the best. The end of that one was strong. But I like how Parks and Rec devoted the entire hour to telling us what happened to each character over the next 10+ years.

And while wrapping up each character is nice, I like how Scrubs left it open.

I personally prefer to know exactly what happened to each character basically for the rest of their lives. But I can see how someone would prefer it to be open ended.

I had gotten out of the habit of watching, and I didn't even see the whole finale, just bits and pieces as I was watching basketball. But I caught the last five minutes and was really sad it's over.

Watching the cast on Seth Myers. Holy crap, Aubrey Plaza is literally the same person IRL that she is on the show
