Of 460 Division I coaches polled by ESPN on the topic, 270 (59 percent) said they would prefer the shot clock to shorten to 30 seconds. Thirty percent said they would rather it remain at 35 seconds, and 10 percent were in favor of it being changed to 24 seconds -- which is also what is used in NBA and international play.
Would love it to go to 24 like the NBA!

The Men's Basketball Rules Committee will meet from May 13-15 at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis, and it could pass a recommendation for the shot clock to be changed. If that occurs, it would also need approval from the Playing Rules Oversight Panel on June 24.

24 is too short. 30 would be perfect

The women already have this. It's time for it to happen.

do not like. I would rather they keep it at 35 to allow for better play development.

Too bad they didn't have a shot clock when Pistol was playing. He could have averaged 60 ppg.

Doesnt matter until they change the one-an-done rule the sport will continue to suck

If you can't develop a play in 30 seconds something is wrong with your team, coach, or both. This is great news!!! This starts to eliminate all the boring and less talented teams that can stay in games simply by slowing the pace to a crawl. Crisp offense and ball movement becomes a premium because a team won't be able to just hold the ball for 10-15 seconds

I'm good with 30 seconds.

Agree with this. They did a trial of a 30-second clock during some exhibition games, so it's definitely in the works.

The MIT is going to experiment with it as well

Prolly would be like the seams in baseball and be for season after. Maybe I'm wrong?

This is an LSU board, so we don't really know what that looks like anyway.

30 is good for college.

small schools who win with the three in the tourney are going to hate this

What does a shot clock rule have to do with LSU?
