After spending years fishing with a cajun anchor and a hand control trolling motor, I will now fish, starting this spring, with a 10 foot power pole and a MG Xi5. How much will my fishing life change? I'm already excited about using the big anchor much less and dare I say it, not at all on some trips.

You will catch the same as always, only you will have spent more to do so.

A power pole has def made my fishing easier when I fish by myself or with the wife. As for trollin motor I have a hand control which when it crap out ill Get the I pilot. Like motorboat said you will catch the same just spent more to do it but it's worth it

If you don't covet (or own) a powerpole, you've never fished with one.

Unless maybe, you usually fish in 7+ of water.

Of course, I'd likely not use my powerpole twice without my gps.

This is why I am not all that interested.

The real question is 1 vs 2 poles?

With one, if there is a lot of wind it can blow you in circles. That ain't gonna happen with two.

IMO 1 is worthless. in any type of wind or current you are swinging around.
