Are their suits worth buying if you wear one twice a year?

They probably mark the $1000 worth of stuff up so high that it is normally only a few hundred worth of stuff that cost them $50

I bought one for interviews out of college and wore it a couple of times a year. It's fine.

Jos A Bank sells ok suits (better than JC Penny, not as good as Brooks Brothers) at high arse prices, but then reduces the price through weird arse sales.

You're still paying more than they are worth, and they make you pay extra to get it tailored and all that jazz.

Agree. Not many professions or companies require suits anymore on a day to day basis.

I used to wear my suit to work on a weekly/biweekly basis, and people kept asking me if I was interviewing for another job.

I mean I get that they aren't the best out there...but I've got two of them and I wear them at least once a week. They were tailored though by another place but the quality isn't horrendous.

There's nothing wrong with their suits. People just get boners from being elitists.

I certainly am not an elitist, but once you start wearing a suit on a semi-regular basis (once a month), you certainly can tell good suits from cheap suits. If you're only going to wear a suit sparingly, spend the money and get one that looks good and will last you a long time.

Lowlife scum of a company. It's so obvious what they are doing-making you feel like you get $1,000 worth of shite when they just mark up the prices on everything.

This is almost as laughable as their Buy 2 suits, get 5 free deal. Sadly, people will fall for it.

I bought three suits probably 6 years ago and wore them in rotation for a 3 month internship. I've since worn them occasionally since then, but most jobs don't require them daily any more.

Have them tailored somewhere you trust (not JosABanks) and they will serve you fine.

If you have a truly professional job invest in a few nice suits as you can afford them. Otherwise save some money and get a decent suit at a decent price on sale from Jos. Never pay anywhere near full price for the suit at Jos.

I rarely wear a suit and have one of their suits for funerals or other suit wearing occasions. I have no complaints.

I have one that I've worn maybe 10 times that is already falling apart. if you only need it a couple times a year they're fine, but you get what you pay for.
