Got my arse handed to me at US Pro Cup last weekend. Moved up a category to get some extra miles and just didn’t have the legs to keep up from the start. Still a great experience and the Vail Lake trails in Temecula are excellent if you ever have the chance to ride them. Sea Otter Fuego XL in...

Damn, your kid is a tough SOB. Good on him for battling through all that. One decent off and I’m usually toast for the day and skittish for a week or two after. Nice to be young and fearless. I’ve going in the US Pro Cup this weekend in Temecula, CA. Chris Blevins and a few of the other top pros...
Get them around my house all the time. I have a video from our driveway cam somewhere of a coyote going after one, getting sprayed, and then changing his mind real quick. My dogs got hit hard a couple years ago too. It took a long time for the smell to finally go away. ...

Hell yea that’s awesome. I don’t have a power meter but going to invest in one soon. I don’t know my numbers at all but know that’s damn impressive at 146lbs. Keegan’s on another level. When we crossed paths at Leadville I was in disbelief when I didn’t see anyone behind him for about 10 minutes...

Let’s see if we can revive this thread. Hopefully the weather is cooling down for y’all. I posted earlier in the summer about my race schedule and wanted to give a quick recap. Crusher in the Tushar- 69 mile, 10k vert gravel race. Absolute sufferfest, would not recommend. It’s basically a 5k ...
At the rehearsal dinner the grooms Uncle stood up and told every to keep your eyes peeled for any terrorist activity at the hotel, he had seen an Indian family checking in earlier that day. ...

Sounds like a cool event and you could definitely do more laps if you truly raced it. Also agree that a light liner is pure insanity - I wouldn’t ride 30 min without a chamois. You’ve got a tougher arse than me. ...

[quote]12/24 hours Iron Maiden race is this weekend. I'm racing 12 hour single speed. Race day prediction is 99 degrees. It's been so mild so far this year I think yesterday was the first ride in 90 degree weather. I'm not sure if I'm 100% heat adapted yet. I was shooting for 6 laps which was a reas...

Yea and it frickin sucks. That mix works best if you don’t have the skunk shampoo and make sure to wash yourself if it got on you at all. It’ll soak into your skin and you’ll smell like skunk for a week if not. If the smell got into your house it’s gonna be there awhile- bowls of vinegar will soak it...

Appreciate it, I had myself at about a 50/50 shot to go under 12 so it felt really awesome to get in done. I now fully understand how people get addicted to these races, it’s such a rush. Wrapped up my solo “training camp” yesterday. From Thursday night to Saturday midday I put in 176 miles and ...

Yep it’s got full lockout and I use it pretty often. Helps a lot on smoother climbs where you don’t need the added traction and road sections on Leadville. I did Leadville for the first time last year(got a 12 hour buckle, but not by much). Hoping to drop an hour this year. I just started racing...

I bought a gravel rig this year to use for road riding and Crusher. Riding a full sus XC bike for Leadville. Had been exclusively mountain biking before January which seems pretty wild in hindsight. I got a Lauf Seigla(Icelandic DTC brand) and it’s been an awesome do everything bike. ...

I’m racing again tomorrow for the 5th week in a row. It’s a little 6.5 mile 700ft vert short course XC race(2 laps). I sit in 3rd in my category but it’s more of a product of showing up every week vs. being actually fast. This is my first year doing these and I’m making up some ground on the leaders...
