Turrible. Hoke really left a dumpster fire. You'd think the Harbaugh hire would have been good enough to get a top 25 class but damn.

Harbaugh is in the exact same position as McElwain, except we've had the benefit of some 5-star lifelong Gator fans.

Prolly better there's nothing there to work with.

Zero expectations on him next year.

I dont think he realizes how hard it is for a coaches first year recruiting. Les first class was 22, and that was with taking over a good program

Except Harbaugh is an elite HC in the NFL and CFB and McElwain is unproven..

Also does not help that Michigan does not have many scholarships available. Last I saw, they only had 11. That may have changed, though.

Recruiting is about relationships. Harbaugh had mere weeks. The class was going to be tiny anyway. But he inherits an incredibly talented team.

Next years class should be better. Still, it pains me to see Florida hitting it out of the park today.

too late for this year.
judge by next year.
Saban could not have done any better.
Most of the really good ones were taken already and the few great ones who were up in the air had already made their visits and were in "courtship phase" with a couple of schools.

Meyer has only had Top 5 classes at Ohio State (4 years).

This year he may be 6 or 7.

Still incredible.

So now that you are done jacking off, we can discuss this. The fact Saban was 10 at Bama shows how hard that transitional year is. He is #1 every damn year besides that

He walked into a tough situation, but most people (including Michigan fans) expected a little better than this.

Dude has been the head coach for like a month. Not enough time to completely recover from a dumpster fire, and he's not exactly the "players coach" that kids will flip to this late

People don't understand how early recruiting starts these days. A decade ago Harbaugh could come in and put together a top 20 class in a month. Now? Most kids are narrowed down if not committed by the time their senior years start. They've got relationships since their freshman year.

Dabo is universally regarded as arguably the top recruiter in the game, and his initial class was hot garbage. Now he's at 3. Give it time, Harbaugh will be fine.
