Not only that but the last 4 minutes of the game was worse than the first half.

I wish we would have had no turnovers in the first half. Woulda helped, but the fact that we couldn't make a shot probably still would have made it tough for the Tigers.

Wtf are you talking about? Lsu turns the ball over. Is what it is. We've still won some big games with lots of turnovers.

It is a complex sentence structure to be sure, but I think he means Timeouts. Apparently, calling timeouts makes you automatically hit shots.

He needs to use them to give his players rest during course of the game if you are not going to use your bench

If the bench is not ready that is on the coaching staff

Oh.

Don't remember much, but I thought we were making some good progress towards the end of the first half. Will have to go back and check it out. When I got to watch it late Saturday night, I didn't notice it, but I was very very tired by that time.

Typical response to deflect from the question...would have figured you would know that we had plenty of turnovers and didn't use any timeouts.

I did and was being a smartass. I don't know what you want me to say. Like I said in a different thread earlier, I am not going to argue on here with people. If you think Jones did a poor coaching job on Saturday, that is fine and totally up to you. I totally understand where you are coming from, but I do think some people overestimate the power of a timeout.

Still, I'm sure if I went back and re-watched the first half of the game I could find a place or two that would have been a good time to call a timeout to appease you.

my only premise for defending jones at this point is that LSU just doesn't have the post depth it needs for big time results.

With that said, I'm as mad as everyone else about taking a step back against State

JJ is going to be extra prepared when they change it to 2 timeouts to start the game plus 1 at the half.

I keep hearing this and I mean of course I do too.

But would you really feel better (and think our NCAA chances were better) if we had the same record but beat Clemson, Mizzou, and MSU while losing to West Virgina, Georgia, and Florida?

I recommend that everyone who refuses to refrain themselves from criticizing the basketball team, its coaches and its players on this site take time to watch other games of other teams on television. Just pick out a game involving two teams where you don't care who wins. Then, pretend that you're fans of one or the other of them.

I guarantee you that you will see the same kind of ball play, including turnovers, missed free throws, and missed easy shots. This is the type of play that is systemic with today's version of basketball. This style begins in grade school and is "developed" more and more as the players age.

Go ahead and pick out a so-called great coach, too. Watch his teams play like crap from time to time.

I would hope that we'd stop being so condemning of our own players and team.

Terrell Owens wasn't available. Or did you mean turnovers? Or did you mean timeouts? Oh that's it, thanks for making it clear.

I guess a TO (timeout) in the first half would have made the difference. Good call!
