Muck Wetlands

seconded. I have the woody elite and it's too hot unless it's below freezing. The wetlands are rated for a little warmer temps, would be a good boot for sitting in LA winter temps.

If you're walking in them a lot though, prepare to sweat.

Also, find they work best with just one pair of cotton socks. Maybe thin wool would work fine too. Heavy wool socks will lead to puddles of sweat

Yea, but I don't usually walk on concrete. Mine have held up real well.

Same. I keep them inside, only wear them when it's cold and only when in the woods. Not around the camp or anything. 5 years old now. No problems.

I have a pair of insulated, and like some of the other posters, can't wear them often because they are just too hot...

unless you stand in icy water a lot, I would get uninsulated and just get them large enough to wear appropriate socks when it is cold...

Do NOT get the game winners, had the neoprene rip just walking through briars one day, they lasted less than a year for me and I don't hunt that often.

Mucks are the ticket, tried to save a little cash with game winner and predictably got what I paid for.

I have a rule, don't buy game winner anything. However, I wouldn't be surprised with any neoprene boots tearing in briars.

I have a pair of Muck boots that have held up great and my sons have Lacrosse and Boggs which seem exactly alike and they are great boots. 800 gr insulation is good.

+1 on mucks! I have had the camo pair, I believe wetlands, and they have held up very well with hard woods use. They are comfortable enough to wear as house slippers and my feet dont get too hot.

Xtratufs. Great boots, we use them for hiking, biking, fishing, hunting and they are standard office attire up here.
