I like the Lacrosse Burly 800, that I borrowed from paw in law before. Just looking to explore all options before settling on the Burlys. Any advice is much appreciated.

IF you are hunting in LA, I'd spend as little as possible. I've needed an insulated boot maybe three times ever here.

Lacrosse is where it's at.

If you want something more than straight rubber get the Burlys or the Neoprene boots, can't go wrong.

I agree with motorboat. I invested in a good insulated pair and maybe use them 5 times a year. They'll end up just making your feet sweat more unless it's < 30 deg. I'd stick with lacrosse, as they seem to last forever.

Muck Wetlands. They are insulated neoprene. My feet don't get to hot in them, even in the Louisiana heat.

Another vote for muck boots, light weight and breathable

I like my Mucks. The grip on the sole is better than my Lacrosse. My feet get cold easily, so I opted for the Woody Max. No more cold feet problems.

Been wondering the same. Anyone tried Under Armour HAW 800 or Academy Game Winner Blaze III?

Couldn't agree more. I love those boots. Extremely versatile and very comfortable.

I bought the Lacrosse Alpha burly 1000gram. It may be overkill for some but my feet get cold very easy when hunting. I dont use them every hunt but when i need them i have them. I hunt my uncles lease from time to time and its drained swampland so when its been raining, i can be in ankle deep water all day.
I also joined a swamp lease that is always covered in water.
I have some $60 game winner 3.5mm neoprene for the warmer days

Mucks are comfortable, but are garbage. Every pair I've seen looks like shite after a couple years of moderate use. -1 on the Mucks

Between shitty music and shitty boots, yes I have.

Fwiw, I'll be buying lacrosse next fall.

That sucks to hear. My mucks have held up very well. Much better than I expected.

Do you wear them out of the house? 4/5 pairs I see are either torn up or missing soles

Yea, but I don't usually walk on concrete. Mine have held up real well.

My mucks have the gripped rubber sole separating from the boot on both feet. I will be investing in lacrosse next year as well. Agree that the mucks are extremely comfortable in hot or cold weather, but they haven't proved to hold up in heavy use.
