re: What should a Leupold Vari-X II cost used? - fishbaja2
Take a look an eBay and pricing on a national market is much better/higher than loose old scopes at our local gun shops. I buy them when I see them but they usually have rings marks and hazing m. The old gloss ones with polish up with flitzs as a blued gun. $200-300 is too much but to each ...

re: Bow Sight - fishbaja2
I once had a 5 pin, then 3, and they were so close together I could see through them. Went to single pin and love it on all my bows. Bows today are so strong fast that there is not a lot of drop to 30 that requires me to have all the cluttered up pins. Range finder first, slight adjustment ...

re: Mercury Outboards - fishbaja2
Fished a boat last week with (4) 350 Verados. Boat ran 49 mph while spinning around 4400. Seemed smooth and quiet like my f250's. It will be interesting to see how they hold up running daily. I remember when the verado can out and hearing stories of the throttle not working due to con...

re: Experts on Coastal Erosion - fishbaja2
The Louisiana coastal basin is 100% leased to private intitities to explore and extract oil/gas. The bottom is littered with pipelines returning oil to shore. The data from 100 years of lines is not well documented and better not open up Pandora's box to try and get a spot to suck up 1 mill + ...

re: Experts on Coastal Erosion - fishbaja2
A start would be to seed oyster reefs along the coast and don't lease This is being done now and it will work to lessen storm surge and allows sediment trapping. Rock armouring works just cost are incredible. Look at raccoon island as an example. Island is GONE where rock break walls stopped...
