I'm at the game in Newark right now. Perds look really good; not sure why they're in such a slump.

Preds may pass the eye test, but right now they're in a 4 game slump. I agree that this may end up being a blessing in disguise, as I would rather have them go through this now than sometime next month. Their balance on offense shoudl work itself out and I think they'll be fine.

Home ice advantage in Nashville is a must for this team.

Gonna be tough bro. The east looks scary good. Better this year than last year. Anybody in the east will have a shot except the panthers IF they can pass up the goonins.

We are real deep now on defense and we play good on defense and great at times in goal. Just need enough scoring to win the tight playoff games. It worked last year up until game 6 of ECF. tokes fought like a warrior after the rags ran price and hurt him knocking him out of the series. Him and the defense held the rags to 1 goal but it was too much as king Henry shut us out. It happens. Can always use more offense in playoffs.

Stars give up the tying goal with 1.1 seconds left. Onto OT

Eakin ends it for Dallas. First OT win on home ice this season.

Strangis' reaction when the Isles scored the tying goal was priceless.

"Noooo! Oh no! .... ... Oh no!"

The entire Stars fanbase was screaming the same thing I'm sure.

I can't figure Kari Lehtonen out.

He's got an extreme case of Schizophrenia

Some nights he looks unstoppable, and some nights he's Swiss cheese. No consistency at all. Although I bet a change of scenery would turn him around. Philly comes to mind as a possible landing spot. He's a better goaltender than Steve Mason and Dallas may want to take a flyer on Zepp in a trade. He's done admirably as a starter

They are not getting the volume of shots that they were getting prior to the 4 game slump. What I've noticed is that Franson fricking sucks. He's out of position all the fricking time. He's slow. He skates into other players. I have no idea why they traded for the guy.

The one "assist" he had against the rangers was a shot that went a mile wide of the net that another player scooped up. They need to call up bitetto if Ellis isn't ready to go.

Wierd thing is that Lavy insists on playing Franson on the goddamn power play. He sucks! Gaaaaaaaaaaaah &::^|£{¥{+{}£}£~£|¥|¥|¥|¥|+\¥\¥\¥¥\\¥¥]¥}}}####}

You're right! Kari has always been somewhat streaky, but this season he changes every period it seems. You never know which Kari is in net from period to period: the one that looks like all world and makes ridiculous saves look routine or the one who looks like he isn't concentrating and let's in the softest goals you'll ever see. Very frustrating! Defense obviously isn't helping him, but still. Kari has some bipolar thing going for him the season.

The addition of Franson and Santorelli looked solid at the time. But I think you're onto something about Franson. He hasn't jelled with this team at all. I know it takes time to work into a new roster and team but it shouldn't be this bad for a player thought to be that good.

I'll say this... I trust Lavy. This team is going through some bumps after a record stretch. It happens. If this continues for another week or so, then I'll start to get really concerned. Have to have home ice for playoffs. Period, the end.

Tonight is a huge game and first of back to back I believe

Tonight Ducks
Tomorrow Kings

Ducks won last night and of course the Habs just screwed it all up Monday.

I think CP31 plays both games and Tokes gets the next one.

He can't fricking skate!!!! He is the worst defenseman I've seen since Doug Houda of the 1993 whalers!!!! At this point it's not about game planning and teamwork it's literally that he does not deserve to be on the ice.

If we can get a split I'll be happy. 4 points out of 8? I'll take it. Let's see how we respond tonight against the quackers. Still have kings and coyotes.

Company has season tickets so I go to a couple of games a month. It's just frustrating to see them go from a good team to a shitty team by relying on one shitty player.

Looking forward to the battle with the redwings tonight though!

At least you live in a NHL city and can see your team play there once a year if I'm not mistaken. I'd have to drive 7 hours to Dallas.

I'll be back in la belle province very soon though. Very soon.

You got that right. I was like wtf? With 1 second left on the clock? I thought for sure when the Stars pushed it deep with about 8 seconds left they weren't going to bring it back down and score, boy was I wrong.

It was a good game though.

Was pretty much my exact reaction mixed in with some chuckling in disbelief.

Very bummed to see Daley go down for the year on a cheap shot like he did. He'd been having a career year offensively and was one of the few bright spots we had on the blue line.
