Great Season! Was fortunate enough to make 35 hunts. Averaged 5.82 ducks per hunter, per hunt tallying 491 ducks on those hunts. Everyone who hunts on our lease did as well or better. It was an awesome season. Majority of birds killed were ringnecks (293) with 12 other species of birds accounting for the rest. Sad to see it end, but it was time! Time to break out the fising gear!

Started strong

Finished stronger.

I'll forget the lack of birds killed in between the highs and remember the good times with all my buddies.

Our lease in gueydan sucked....moved to various wmas shot birds here and there last 4 weeks have been awesome. Shot 4 man limit all this weekend and two weekends before...so I'd say it finished strong and was a lot of fun

Last year was the worst year I have ever had. This year we killed about 50 more ducks. So it is still crappy but hopefully it continues to increase.

Pretty bad here on public land in north Ms. The first hunt of the year we killed 2 limits and that was the best day by a long shot. Only killed 2 mallards all year. Skunked more often then I would care to admit.

OG we need a location to put your season in context with others.
I hunt west central louisiana. Small lake. 123. Probably hunted 45 days. Mostly mallards. That total includes teal season and youth hunts. Again, first split we killed 100, second 23. This has been the norm for about 20 years now. No bands again this year. Had a couple of great hunts, but also had some eggs too.

My location is Southeast LA. Bayou Black area in Terrebonne Parish, to be specific.
Oleballcoach - 4 cinnamon teal! Wow, that is great! Also, the greater scaup - I've never killed one. Lots of lesser, though. Great season to you!

OBC if that is true, count me in next season. I live pretty close to TB.

1 band per 132 fowl is a fantastic ratio. I have hunted 8 years now and have killed 50 to 100 total per season and have never had a band in that time.
