I thought it was a really good movie. It was the first time I saw PG as someone who could drive an entire movie. It had some hilarious parts also.

I've seen it about 4 times and I have a different opinion of it every time.

Alexander Payne has a pretty solid list of films, but I enjoyed Nebraska, Election & The Descendants more than Sideways. I liked Sideways, but it was an uncomfortable film to watch. Imagine that was kind of the point though.

I liked it, but far from one of my favorites. Haven't seen it since it was at the theater.

The only other movie in that genre that I enjoy as much is adaptation.

THC was great

the movie was funny and sad at the same time.

Great movie, its probably around my top ten for 21st century films. A. Payne makes really personal and compassionate movies. He is one of the great working American directors IMO. My favorite scene is when Giamatti and Virginia Madsen (Maya) are having an intimate conversation about why they love wine. Great scene.

One of my favorites and definitely a top 20 all time for me. I thought the acting was top notch and the musical score was fantastic. I have the soundtrack downloaded - great mood music.

Favorite scene has got to be going after the wallet and purposely wrecking the car. Amazing what really good friends will do for one another.

If you like Sideways, check out California Split. It's a Robert Altman movie from the 70s with Elliot Gould and George Segal as a couple of guys trying to get to Reno for a big poker tournament. It has the same vibe as Sideways -- a road trip with a couple of guys who are down on their luck.
