I liked Callandros when I was in BR. I use HEB since moving to Texas though. There's one like a half mile from my place, and I really enjoy it.

Understandable....you do cook way more than I do.

I am trying a lil though. I'll never be an amazing cook, but I'm getting not as scared to try out new recipes. If Whole Foods was right by me...I would likely go there more often to check out what they had. Just not gonna make the drive there now when I have numerous other grocery stores much closer.

I wish Arlington had an HEB. I mostly go to Wal-Mart because it is cheap and I got 5 kids to feed (only 3 actually). Sometimes I'll go to COSTCO, Sprouts, or Albertsons.

We shop at Costco and HEB . HEB has the best Natural , grass fed beef . I'm sure you can find better but for us it's hard to beat . If HEB ever goes to Louisiana the other stores are in trouble .

I support local businesses as much as I can. Here that's Bohnings supermarket and Berryland produce. After that Winn Dixie or Walmart but that's only Ito have no other choice.

Not true. The two places I shop do not. Rouses and Calvins.

Walmart Pville. Self checkout at 10pm. Win... And using savings catcher we have racked up $30 to use in about 2 months.

I like Leblanc's in Gonzales. Like the Deli service/selection.

When I am looking for a variety of frozen foods , I go to Walmart.

Walmart is 24 hours. Leblanc's is not.

Kroger
Base Commissary

Kroger is competitive, their stores are clean, service is great, they have Fuel Points, and their off brand items are great!

My wife and I were big shills for Publix as I grew up on it in Florida. We would drive 50 miles from Biloxi to go to Publix in Mobile once a month but after moving to Ohio last Summer and discovering Kroger, my wife and I debate on which store is better. If I retire from the Air Force to an area where both exist like Georgia or Tennessee we may fight over the grocery shopping.

They just built a really nice Neighborhood WalMart in my area, I absolutely love it. It's got a small feel but they have everything I need grocery wise. Plus I use the receipt tracker to counter other sales at other stores. I already got my first $25 gift card one month in.
