A friend has two taco as with over 400 each. He has a new one he drives bc the seats are worn out, the trucks are still going strong.

It's a Toyota. If maintained they last forever. Finding one maintained may be the hard part.

Chevy/GMC with a 350.

Pick one up under 5k for a 2wd extended cab.

7-8 for a 4wd at the most.

350's wer discontinued on early 1999 models but extended into the 2500 series in the 2000's.

I have had 3 of them. all go and no quit. run the shite out of them. Not to mention the last set of calipers i changed on the front were $15 a piece with the core charge replacement. Cheap cheap to maintain.

1996 came the vortec heads and third door in the latter part for the extended cab.

within 100 miles of westlake. Not sure your area.

Ive put over 1M miles on my last 4 vehicles... 250 ea on a Toyota & Acura, 275 on another Toyota, and currently have 240 on my Tahoe. If u maintain them, they will go a long way.

Whatever u buy, make sure it has service records.... Given the history, the truck will likely go longer than you want to keep it.

Another tip for a newly married man w a kido and building a house.... Live ur life w/o a car/truck note. Save $ and pay cash. Drive used vehicles. Dont fall victim to "I'm buyin me a new truck because I can and I want to."

You are off to a good start, sir. Keep it up & Good Luck!

Ive got a 97 Tacoma that I love like a child. My buddies with shiny new trucks of different makes like to make fun of my old truck until I pick them up from the mechanics.
