I assumed this would be a good thread for the FBD posters. What are the breweries in your city and how would you rank them?

For Charleston (my ranking...best from top to bottom).
Coast
Westbrook - technically Mount Pleasant
Holy City
Freehouse
Revelry
Palmetto

Man, BR is so far behind the times. It seems like a ripe market for someone with some money and the desire to brew great beer to come in and kill it. If only I wasn't poor

I've got a feeling Jax (Portland, Oregon) guy will make up for BR. His list will be as thick as a dictionary.

Yazoo Brewing Company - Biggest in town. Their everyday beers are average. Sue is above average. Embrace the Funk line is very above average.
Blackstone Restaurant & Brewery - Oldest guys in town. They seem to be branching out more these days. Bonus brewpub
Tennessee Brew Works - Basic style beers, but usually spiced with something. Above average
Black Abbey Brewing Company - Another above average brewery. I'm a big fan.
Jackalope Brewing Company - Average stuff.
Fat Bottom Brewing - Meh
Jubilee Craft Beer Company - Meh
Czann's Brewing Company - Meh
Little Harpeth Brewing - Lagers only. Very good steam beer.
Turtle Anarchy - Average beers. Good porter.
Cool Springs - Can make some decent stuff. Bonus brewpub

Our beer laws and taxes blow, so that hinders our breweries some.

Druid City Brewing Company- It's a little hole in the wall joint. Fantastic beers though. Lamplighter IPA is one of my favorites.

Black Warrior Brewing Company- Nice place downtown with subpar beers.

Band of Brothers Brewing- Opening Spring 2015

Goose Island is the only one I've been to, but we've got 20-something in the city.

One of my buddies went to each one with a taproom in one day and tried a beer at each for an article

If I'd consider Houston my city since I'm in the burbs, it'd be much larger.

Are they distributing up this way? I'll keep my eyes out. I don't get down over the Monteagle all that often. I still need to try that Honky Tonk west coast IPA you were talking about.
