the trout streams would be more NE Oklahoma, no?

another poster said they were 3-4 hours away. but i'd drive 3 hours to go do that for a day. or go camp out and do it for 2-3 days. sounds like an awesome weekend trip.

i have my dad's old fly rod. might be able to dig up another one from the garage back at home. i have no idea what i'm doing trout fishing, except to say that the two times i've done it it was one of the most picturesque rivers i've ever been on. maybe this summer or next we can make a drive up there....

the last time I went fly fishing, it was on the Snake River in Idaho and we caught so many freaking rainbows

no idea what we were doing, but we destroyed them

Broken Bow lake is supposed to have good fishing as well but never been.

i've been, and it does have really good small mouth bass fishing. there are plenty more quail hunting opportunities up there than down here. also have good dove hunting.
i've got family in broken bow

Actually you will find some very very good duck hunting up there. Lot's of Mallards settle up there. Within 1.5 hours of OKC.

Any more specifics you can provide? Don't need specific lakes, fields, etc... but maybe just a direction? N, E, S or W?
