As a rock/metal fan I'd like to contribute the following crap bands - Avenged Sevenfold and Megadeth.

Most hip hop artist aren't deserving of being critically acclaimed because they're not artists.

Mumbling incoherently at a fast pace now is considered an art form by millenials.
Both have horrible vocals, predictable guitar solos, and contribute nothing to my ears except viruses. Dave Mustaine can kiss my arse and go cry about it on a Metallica documentary.

I'd just like to chime in AGAIN with how fricking overrated U2 is, and to say that anyone that tries to defend them is frickING WRONG. I'm not necessarily saying that they're completely horrible, but they're nowhere near deserving of all the hype and critical cock-sucking they get. And I'm not even sure the fricking Edge (really, dude?) can play if you take his god dam delay pedal and racks of effects away. Putting that mother fricker in "In Might Get Loud" has got to be one of the most ridiculous stunts ever pulled. I can think of about 900 more people that would have been more deserving of a role in that flick. frick Bono, frick The Edge, and frick U2.

His influence is as a performer, overall (who wore the harmonica rig before Dylan?), and his songwriting, particularly the lyrics. He is a top tier rock/folk rock songwriter, arguably the best.
He's also a pretty good acoustic guitar player, as are most folk singers (e.g. Joan Baez's playing in "Diamonds and Rust").

Yes.

Yeah...I'm going to have to ask you to lay off of the sauce for awhile. How you can associate Megadeth with the label "overrated" is beyond me.

Mustaine's vocals are hardly exceptional, but it works well with their style of music. Also, to say that Mustaine, Friedman, Poland, and Broderick are predictable guitarists in any capacity is beyond ignorant.

rolling stones
when i meet people that say this, it's usually because they only know of what get's played on the radio ie the more beatleish songs. to me from '69-'75 everything they did was pure gold. the country/ blues songs on Exile, Sticky Fingers, Let it Bleed, and Beggar's Banquet are some of my favorite music all time.
unless you're well-versed in their discography and still don't like them please check these albums out.
i know everyone has opinions and stuff, but i get legit upset when people don't understand how good the rolling stones were for a long time.

It's hard to say someone sucks when they have a legitimate claim at the greatest band of all time.

I can not stand Bruno Mars, yet most guys seem to have a man crush on that Pacific Elvis impostor.

He's The Beatles compared to most everything else on the radio. That new Uptown Funk song is great. Sounds like Prince and The Time
