As a father myself, that always hits me in the feels - by the Grace of G-d - I haven't had to face the loss of a child - and no parent should. But, on top of that, he knows the kid is innocent and in heaven - someplace he is deeming himself unworthy of.

He's not a very good singer, there's no question.
His influence is as a performer, overall (who wore the harmonica rig before Dylan?), and his songwriting, particularly the lyrics. He is a top tier rock/folk rock songwriter, arguably the best.
