I would be shocked if CP isn't the guy. Depending on who you ask Steele is either our 2nd in line or not even a possibility.

I would have no problem with it if he is as good a recruiter as they say. I like the way he goes with big fast LB's instead of looking for small fast or in Welters case, small and slow, LB's. We need more toughness and physicality up front and at LB. Not so much a finesse defense.

That will be the interesting part of all this.... will our current personnel fit the scheme of the new DC? and what kind of scheme will he run?

Technically the melt would be bigger if Miles just said he'd run the defense and collect both salaries, but it'd be pretty if he hires Steele.

Any DC that is worth a damn will tailor his defense to best suit his talent on hand. If CP is as good as advertised he will likely figure out his scheme AFTER he does an evaluation of LSU's current roster.
