I've heard more than one person mention this.

Was he much heavier than he played during the year?

That would explain the way he preformed during the game, I was wondering why he was out of position so much.

How do you get out of shape during a season? Is there that much downtime without workouts before the bowl?

Hard to tell by watching on TV, but he sure missed a few open field tackles and couldn't get off his blocks hardly ever....definitely not his best performance.

From my sources, LSU ran long practices during bowl prep. Legitimately the guys were tired.

I don't think that's true. In fact, I think one of the stories was that LSU wasn't going to have a real practice in Nashville. So, unless they just killed the team in Baton Rouge, it wouldn't make sense for them to be sore/tired.

You guys are complete idiots! He was amazing, our defense changed as soon as he replaced the DJW!

No question.

Now, did he look out of shape in the bowl game?

Nope. Will be on the defensive staff at Texas A&M. The job security working for their head guy on defense is insane. Expectations are super low and almost impossible to get replaced.

They had a 4-hour walk thru the day before the game.

They were definitely tired.

Hannagrif brought it up on his show today, said they had a long walk through and a hard practice the day before. Neither he nor Ruffin Rodrigue had any idea why.
