1. Desean Smith's involvement - he looked great catching the ball. They split him out wide finally. He could be a nice weapon moving forward.

2. The offensive playcalling - The speed sweeps and the zone read open up a lot of possibilities in the offense and is more suited to the players we have. The announcer said that Cameron said something like he was trying to run a pro style offense all year and the players aren't ready for that yet. I think this is what the playcalling will look like moving forward until they prove that they can handle the offense that Cam really wants to run.

3. LF - Nuff said. With the RBs we have coming in you can't help but be excited about the running game moving forward.

4. OL - the OL played great yesterday which is a testament to Grimes. It was a far cry from what we were used to seeing out of a Stud coached OL. I believe we'll see a dominant OL moving forward with Grimes at the helm.

Did I miss anything?

Chief leaving after getting bitch slapped by a fricking horrible ND offense. We will save money and end up with a better DC

I'm happy with the job that Coach Grimes has done with our OL. He was a good hire for us.

Williams at RB and Adam's on special teams looked good.

We had to run a bunch of trick plays to stay in the game against a terrible ND team.

Oh whoops, sorry, you're trying to be positive. Well, 4 things from 60 minutes of football is something to be proud of going forward.

When we got punched to start the game, we came right back at them. Bottom line is we got messed over on the fake field goal that was a TD and should have gotten a W.

lots of positives on the o side of the ball. I would add in that AJ seems to be getting better now that the play calling has improved. Gives hope for something to build on for next season. Miles needs to have a serious sit down with Cam and see if Cam is open and in agreement to making the changes that need to be made to this offense for this team to move forward next season. From the bowl game and Texas A&M game I would say that change is possible. NOw just need to give Harris a real and legitimate shot. Maybe do what Notre Dame was doing in rotating Zaire and Golsen. Do that with Jennings/Harris

Maybe Miles learned from Bryan Kelly that benching your awful starting QB for a freshman can work.

We ran a successful fake field goal attempt for a touchdown.

All spot on.

I will add that we CAN adjust to a running QB...just do it before they score 21 points in a 1st half next time.

We have TE's who can catch. Revelation

We called a grand total of 3 trick plays. I guess that classifies as a bunch now.

5) Golson is on schedule to get his degree and can transfer to LSU and play immediately for one year.

Diarse showed a gear I didn't know he had. Surprisingly and deceptively fast

Nice post. I agree.

I think this is accurate too. The question that immediately comes to mind is what took so long? I like Cam a lot but you have to adjust faster than that.

Uh, no.

No real progression from AJ, even after two years with Cam.

Solid post.

There were positives to be taken out of the game for sure. Let's hope they are built on in the spring and for next year.

This upsets me, it reminds me of Jeremy Hill in the Clemson game. How do you only let him touch the ball 11 times the whole entire game?
