You just love to argue for the sake of arguing. Fact- combine drills don't tell the whole story. Maybe on some unknowns and players sizes getting their size correctly. But you aren't going to get a players worth on the field out of some damn drills.

If you have the worst 3 cone and shuttle speed at the combine, you arent shifty. You realize players get slower and less agile with pads on right? Have you never played football?
Im not saying these drill show you can play or not. But they do show your explosiveness and agility. Ill take the word of nfl scouts and gm's over some dumbass.

Damn you still caught it?? I'm sorry. I aplogize for the insult. Just don't agree with you brah. Russell Shepard was wasted his whole career at LSU. You don't develop when you aren't used consistently and he def wasn't while at LSU. Even with Miles lyin to him that he would be to get him to come back for 1 more season.

I def believe the kid could have been used like Harvin and Rainey was at Florida, but of course LSU doesn't run those type of offenses.

Shep was not the first LSU player who was not properly utilized in college, but had at least some NFL success.

Remember place kicker Wade Richey who struggled at LSU, thanks to poor special teams coaching. But the NFL quickly corrected his technical flaws and he became a solid pro kicker for a few years.

Don't bet on it. I'm more inclined to believe the pumpers are capable of infinite entertainment

They were shitting all over RS a few years ago and many swore he would never make an NFL roster. Now, he's the result of Les Miles genius...

That's not what I asked. Stop avoiding the question mr facts man.

LSU pays Les to win games, SEC games...if LSU is an NFL factory let the NFL pay Les or at least supplement his salary.

but he has NFL talent that was pretty much wasted at LSU.

This is pretty much how I saw it. He should have been more involved in the offense but they made him an afterthought.

onest question, you think that if the coaches don't switch him to receiver, he would be in the nfl today? I think that would be a very very slim chance.

Honest question, do you think it's a positive that he has NFL talent and he wasn't utilized at LSU by the same coaches you think deserve the credit?

Say whatever you want for however long you want, it's not because he was sparingly used that he is in the pros

Giving Miles credit for a former number 1 overall high school recruit and wicked athlete making an NFL roster?

People bitched because after he converted him, he didn't do even half of what he could have tried to do to give the offense an edge.

Now get back to what you started, name the guys who played QB for LSU for the last 9 years, the QB's that Miles brought in, signed, developed and are successful in the NFL - I'll give you a hint 0

Do the list for saban too.

This should be great.

See folks, I said in a thread a while back that Pumpers are the ones obsessed with Saban, not the "negatigers".

Oh right, because small, athletic college QBs have never made the successful transition to another position in the nfl before. Like in the history of ever.

I think your sarcastic statement assumes Shep had an NFL arm?

This.

I'm glad LSU players are making it to the pros and doing well. However, Les's job is not to develop players for the pros. It's to develop the talent while they are at LSU and utilize that talent to compete and win championships. while they are at LSU. Selfishly that is what I care about. Does it help recruiting that they can see how many players from LSU go to the NFL? Yes absolutely. But winning SEC Championships and playing for National and winning National Championships also helps as well. But I want to see those recruits develope and win while at LSU not after they leave their junior year.

no, he's right. you're wrong. subjective titles are crap. it's the main reason several of bama's "championships" are laughed at. the sec title should be more coveted. but rantards think that because lsu signs kids with rivals stars that miles sucks because he doesn't win more subjective championships.

i think i'm going to start yet another rantard killing thread.

negas - explain how miles is underachieving without appealing to subjective criteria. while you're at it, name the coaches in sec/southern conference history who have had a better 10 year run than miles, keeping into account the current competitiveness of the sec west.

I agree. However, I still would have liked to see him throw at least a few passes out of some wild tiger or other exotic formations.

1)Which of Alabama's 3 bcs titles is laughed at? Or disputed in any way?

2) please forward me all of the letters/emails/whatever you've surely passed on to the Lsu athletic department demanding they immediately cease selling products or displaying items that showcase the 1957, 2003 and 2007 National Chsmpionship years. Because after all, they're nothing but subjective crap.

3) which NCAA sports national titles aren't 'subjective crap' according to the pumpers? NCAA basketball tournament participants are chosen by a committee. Same with baseball.

4) go find me 1 non pumper that would choose lsu's 2011 season outcome over alabama's 2011 season outcome. Or just 1 non pumper that would prefer to win a conference championship over a national championship in general.

Exactly. Lsu tried every thing to get the ball to shep. He just wasnt that dynamic with the ball. We tried wr bubble screens, screen passes out of the backfield, direct handoffs and throwing the ball to him. Im glad he came to lsu and he gave more to lsu football ,on a offseason Wednesday ,than i ever will.
