If the guy is asking about an Invicta, I don't think he necessarily needs an automatic watch...

There's about a million of them so you are going to have to come up with a bit more detail on what you are looking for.

How much did you pay for an Invicta at Lee Michaels?

I love my Hamilton Jazzmaster. Wearing it right now.

Also got a used 1969 Omega Seamaster in awesome shape for around that price.

Here's the Omega:

Tons of nice ones for that. Depends on style though, and type. Diver/sport, pilot, driving, traditional/dress....

Your Seiko Orange Monster is a much more well respected watch than Invicta. The Orange Monster has a following amongst watch enthusiasts.

I "found" an invicta in my truck after a guys trip to play golf. Nobody that was in the truck claimed it so I gave it away to my college aged cousin. That should tell you something about Invicta's!

I like the Hamilton Khaki look at that price point. You can also look at sites like watch-u-seek and find forums where people are selling used watches. I got a $3k watch for $1,250. Didn't have a thing wrong with it and came as a complete set (box, tags, manual, certs). Lot's of collectors who buy and sell watches, so there's a lot of well kept used watches out there.

My FIL and BIL buy the Invicta watches. Too big for my taste and they are obviously not the most expensive watch. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I wore a Citizen for a few years before moving up to an automatic movement. I can't go back now, but nothing wrong with it. Saving up for an IWC Portofino next

The answer is no. They are decent for a "beater" watch to wear around and not worry if you trash it. I've seen hands fall off of them, bezels pop off, stems come flying out. They are just not fabulous quality but they crank out so many of them they are going to have flaws.

I got an Invicta watch for Cristmas. I like the box it came in better than the watch.

that's nice but a little too busy for my tastes

I bought a Seiko 5 for $35 in December and am loving it. It's a small watch at 37mm but it's fine with me.

this one has caught my eye recently

Ingersoll

My dad bought me this watch in Europe while he was there for business. I love this one and they have a bunch of watches for under a grand that I would wear.

I got this for Christmas from the gf and have enjoyed it. Got many compliments on it too.

They have this in chrono, but I really don't care for chrono watches. Just too busy and cluttered to me.

I LOVE my OM. My only gripe with is it that some people assume I am a Clemson fan.

Kinda wish I would have went black, thought about trying to find a new face and do the orange black combo.

B&R are great looking watches, that vintage is cool. The first one you posted though...this instead.

Manual wind 42 mm.
