My SO is doing the same thing tonight.

Serious answer- Tissot LeLocle.
Right in the price range, good quality, and not some designer junk like Kors.

I'm not sure you can get from point B to point A in that price range. There are several watches to choose from under $500 that fit the bill but if you are looking for something real nice $1500+ is your range. If she is just a gf go under $500; if she is really special then go big. As Epic C posted not everybody likes the same things. Don't let others try to tell you what to spend on because they are cheap. And don't listen to the it isn't practical crowd either. It's a gift, if you wanted to be practical you would buy her socks and lip balm.

How serious of a gf is this? We need pics to confirm.

Some people really love nice watches and maybe want one really nice quality watch. Nothing wrong with that. They see it as more than a timepiece...but similar to nice jewelry.
This. Why is anyone flipping out over spending $800 on a watch? This is very common and even on the lower end for some people. A really nice watch complements a nice suit or dress. My experience is that these sort of things are noticed by people
EDIT: OP - Take a look at something like Longines. Great watches that are quality and some of them will be near the price range you mentioned. It'll also be something a little different from her friends' Michael Kors watches.

I'm a dude but you've gotten Shite advice:
Is your gf trashy or actually classy?
Trashy = Michael kors-coach-mall gift like every other bitch?
Classy - get her Chanel ballet flats. Seriously, it will impress other women and it will make your gf walk so her hips slightly point out. It changes their carriage so they seem more powerful and feminine at the same time.
Unless your lady is fat. Then just get her food.

Wanted to add - my wife grew up with nannys and drivers so there is no gift that really excites her. But dammit man, grow a brain. Women want time for themself to spoil on themselves.
So get her stuff like a spa day, shopping spree, personal chef. Do you take her car for maintenance or does she have to? Do shite like that and I promise sexy time that some watch would never even come close to.
Stop thinking like some poor mofo - this about VALUE - cost is irrelevant. Plus 600 is not much.

Tiffany's. Every girl wants the aqua blue box. If you are putting out almost a grand a decent piece from them works.
Breaks my heart I can't wear the piece my ex bought for me a few years ago.

Classy. She specifically said NO Kors. She gets time to herself on the regular. Who doesn't take thee GF/wife's car in for maintenance? Sounds beta as fuuuuuuk. $600-$800 is a starting point. If I can't find something there to match her taste and what she deserves, I'll go higher. She's not spoiled or ungrateful and I'm smart enough to realize what she does for me.

Cartier would be tasteful.
Someone mentioned Tag. I think they look goofy on women.
If they sell it at Dillard's, keep looking.

If it were me, I would prefer a $200 watch. The reason is, nowadays women switch watches depending on their outfits. This would be a real waste of $600/800 dollars. So - get her a $200 Michael Kors and a spa gift certificate or money for clothes.

Why even waste the money on a Kors Chinese movement watch that looks gaudy and trashy?
I think Movado looks sleek on females.

Movado. Might run a little over $800 but they are really nice.
Michael kors watches are trendy/fad-ish but if your gf is like most girls, she will like it. I tend to go for a more classic look I suppose.

Lulz at all the people in this thread who b think $800 is a lot of money. I thought this was the OT? Everyone's a millionaire on here until someone mentions spending $800 on something
To OP: Do not get MK, Coach, etc or any other white trash branded watch or accessory. I'd up the budget and look at Tag, Omega, Breitling, Tissot, Sinn etc. Basically go to any good jewelry store like Adler's, Tiffany's, etc (not Zales, Kay etc) and see what they have in your range that she'd like.

I'd get her all the ingredients she needs to make me a sammich and spend the rest on hookers and blow. I feel this is the only acceptable answer for the OT.

a good vibrator for her will only run you ~ $150
save some cash

All this shite about watches - do you people not have clocks on your iPhones? I'll be damned if I'm ever going to spend that kind of money on something to tell me what fricking time it is.
