Headed there saturday night. Going to try a bunch of stuff. What was the best thing you've had there?

Everything has been great on my two visits.

Pass on the royal reds though. Not worth it

I wonder if this has been addressed before...or a couple times a month? Do a search.
But, I'm glad you're going to Peche .

I thought those were great.

I would go with the whole fish and a bunch of small plates

They are good but it just seems like a waste of a plate. Boiled shrimp and garlic butter, yay.

Also rather not peel shrimp when I'm eating a dinner like that.

I just found them to have a different flavor and texture compared to regular shrimp. I really enjoyed them, but shrimp garlic and butter always gets a yay out of me.

I thought the hush puppies sucked and the mussels were the size of the nail on my pinkie. So... I'd probably pass on those two.

Shrimp get the yay out me also. Could eat them every day.

I guess I was a little underwhelmed with them because they were also overcooked.

My Mom had the Royal Reds and didn't care for them. She loved the sauce, though. I only tasted the sauce/butter and it was delicious. She wasn't expecting to have to peel them and I think that threw her off. They have more of a lobster texture than a shrimp texture which I like, but they are extremely easy to overcook.

I love the ground shrimp pasta. The flavors were terrific. A shrimp in pasta isn't usually something that would wow me.

My standard order:

1. Crduo
2. Oysters
3. Fried bread - must get this deliciousness
4. Pick an app
5. Daily whole fish over coals preparation

ETA: fried bread is incredible too

I love fish...but have never ordered a whole fish anywhere. Is it easy to avoid the bones?

Why don't you try having an original thought and ordering what looks good to you? Or do a search.

Ours were unfortunately burnt to a crisp I was the one who begged to get them and I had to leave whole tails behind because I couldn't get the black shell off and the meat was mush.

That said, everything else is fantastic.

OP: Anything/everything they offer from the raw bar.
Brussel sprouts.
And I know this seems boring, but the white bbq sauce chicken thigh skewers are

Why don't you eat a sack of crap and stay out of the way if you have nothing to add?
