Thank goodness someone is the keeper of a subjective concept like moral foundations.

I guess you didn't read anything else in the thread. Otherwise you would have seen my comments in regards to your point that has been brought up by other posters.

This isn't true at all. AFA absolutely deserves their classification.

You aren't very familiar with the Southern Poverty Law Center. It is a left leaning political organization. In the past they have left the New Black Panther Party off their list, while including the Tea Party.

They are not objective.

A friend on FB posted about going. I think this is disgusting. Whether you agree or don't agree, prayer gatherings (of all faiths) should be off limits. Very poor taste for all involved.

So? There's nothing that says religious organizations cannot use public facilities for meetings. Try again.

Because they don't tow the politically correct line.

Is it your opinion/delusion that this thought process is the least bit American?

It doesn't make a bit of difference to me one way or the other. I was just informing as to why some were having an issue with it. If it were me, I would have found a different venue to avoid the hassle and headache but that's just my opinion.

I read last week through links posted on FB about the planned event and supposed pamphlet being forwarded.

The prayer rally was allegedly like Rick Perry's earlier one before the 2012 Presidential campaign. Jindal is said to be modeling his after this.

The whole angry response came about, as it was suggested the pamphlet would blame modern culture, gays and lesbians explicitly, for God's wrath in the form of events like hurricanes.

If Bobby Jindal is planning to launch a presidential campaign claiming Katrina was a result of gays and lesbians, he deserves nothing but ridicule.

Truth, societies need to know what people actually believe(think) at any given time is wearing me out.
Is there any normal laid back and content people out there anymore?

Look man, I get that you're an alter and really enjoy riding my nuts, but you're gonna have to get in line. KCT and a few other posters have been here way before you and they have preference to the real estate on my nutsack.

Exercising their First Amendment right gets them labeled a hate group? That's a bit scary.

With so many "Christians" not understanding Christianity it's not wonder atheists don't either.

Just because you have the right to say hateful things doesn't mean your organization isn't hateful.

If you do some research on their past actions, you would be able to understand why some feel that they are a hate group.

ETA: Westboro Baptist exercises the same First Admendment right and I'd be willing to bet that many would consider them a hate group.
