You can get any piece of paper that's required, but it doesn't mean a damn thing if someone doesn't gives you an opportunity to prove yourself.

End of my rant. Carry on.

True. Hopefully you didn't wait until your last month of grad school to try to find a job.

Do you mean a non-thesis Master's degree?

Stay the course.
Get someone to critique your interview skills.

Those pieces of paper do mean something, especially after you get hired.

While you are right, you have to keep in mind that nobody owes you an opportunity and nobody made you go to school.

You're job search will go better if you have this in the forefront of your mind.

Lots of professional programs give you real experience without you having to have a job. Especially medical professions.

But yeah, for non-professional programs you really need to get internships, or at least research-based experience. Depends on the career path.

Sometimes you have to start with a job that says GED preferred just to break in to the industry. Bust your arse for a year or so and move up.

If I remember correctly he's probably complaining about being passed up for a promotion.

No, B.S. is Electrical Engineering. I have a MBA and I'm also a Certified Project Manager. I'm just frustrated of constantly being overlooked for stuff I'm in current company and the lack of opportunity thus far outside of it. Experience isn't the issue either b/c I have 10+ years.
