My son shot this deer today and turkey yesterday

I don't hunt but support his hobby. Central Texas near Brownwood.
What does the OB think about this kill?

He's been stalking a deer for a couple of seasons-not sure if this is the one.
Just bought him a box of duck decoys and some other hunting equipment.
My brother and dad taught him from day one about gun safety, etc.

ETA: great deer by the way love the color of a Texas bucks horns.
