Weird to see that.
Foxcatcher was damn good though.

Strange that Fincher is nominated for Best Director yet Gone Girl is not nominated (even with the comedy/drama split) for Best Picture.
Also interesting that True Detective is under miniseries and not drama like at the Emmys. I wonder if HBO submitted it as a miniseries or if it's the Foreign Press who classified it that way.

Why is that?
Just a blind guess, but Interstellar?

Always confusing me how movies that haven't even been released yet get nominated and win awards before seen by the public
Posted on 12/11/14 at 9:55 pm to Dr. Shultz
The public doesn't vote on these awards. Those movies have all been seen by the people who vote.
Posted on 12/11/14 at 9:58 pm to Brosef Stalin
Well obviously. Still annoying. They make these huge awards shows for the public to see and then half the time the public doesn't even know what any of these movies winning awards are about.
Just seems odd

True Detective and Fargo are anthology series so each season there's a new story, cast, and setting. It's a series that consists of a "miniseries" each season.

Are you giving your prediction or are you giving your opinion? Because some of these movies haven't come out yet.

Would pretty cool if Steve Carell and Jen Aniston win Golden Globes and/or Oscars for Dramatic roles after making their names on NBC thursday night comedies

Predictions based on hype and reviews of those who have seen them.

Yea, Im hearing Julian Moore's name brought up a lot. I haven't seen her movie, but her performance better be through the roof if she beats Pike.

an Oscar > a Golden Globe... (and it's not even close)
