Nah, it still wouldn't make sense why we signed a combo guard to be the primary ball-handler the same offseason when we traded 2 first round picks for a quasi-all star point guard.

It makes sense if the Pels have an adequate starting SG (Gordon), adequate starting SF (??), and Reke comes off the bench and finishes games. The big issue is that Reke is playing like a fricking retard this season.

But even with Gordon healthy, you still didn't have one of those things and exhausted all options to add one.

Reke has managed to get coached down. It's a talent of Monty's. He's getting progressively dumber as the season goes along.
Thank god Monty is getting negative press finally! This has been a great 2 games if this is what it took.
I can't wait til Monty gets to coach down Gal Mikel to his level. Enjoy the next couple games while you can until he manages to learn the "system".

Plenty of folk (including myself) ragged on Simmons for criticizing the Pels for signing Reke after saying he'd be a great signing for the Spurs, but he looks like a genius now. Imagine what Pop could do with him.
