I have no dog in this fight and am interested to see what the committee comes out with. But seriously, I mean at this point there's literally no logical argument that can be made for TCU over Baylor at this point. Toughest loss? Ok that'd be a solid argument if their loss wasn't to the team you're trying to compare them to.

I'm not saying you can't think TCU is a better team, that's logical. But the fact of the matter is they lost. Sucks to suck. Just because you think one team is better than the other doesn't mean a team shouldn't be rewarded for winning or at the same time penalized for losing.

Ex: Did we really think Manhattan was a better basketball team than Duke last year? Hell no. But they won and were rewarded by moving on in the tourney, while Duke was sent packing.

ETA:
Yes I probably think tOSU should be #4. But for the sake of argument, keep this about TCU-Baylor.

They should let them play in the Cotton Bowl after they're both left out of the playoff.

Dead serious. That shite would be awesome.

Neither should make it. They cancel each other out by the h2h winner having a worse loss, and both have poor SOS

Didn't lose to a mediocre team like tOSU and Baylor did.

Apparently they had a "better body of work". But, we forget that they barely beat Kansas, WVU, and OU. Their biggest wins are KSU and Minnesota. Baylor did lose to WVU but they beat TCU and also beat OU and KSU. The only thing TCU has over Baylor is a better ooc win. They don't deserve the "best loss" argument when Baylor beat them period. I don't care if it was by only 3. They still rallied from 20+ down to win.

Ohio State didn't play a 6-6 or worse FCS school either. In fact, they didn't play any FCS schools.

Oh but losing to the team you're fighting against for the final spot is A-Ok? This argument is basically penalizing Baylor for being too good if you think about it.

There is no "tie" to break between TCU and Baylor. How is that so fricking hard to understand? Did the West Virginia vs Baylor game not happen or something. Baylor won by 3 AT HOME vs TCU. That is supposed to overcome the whole fricking season? bullshite.

There is none.

I don't care TCU was 3 last week. I hope the committee was just letting it play out and just taking a "snapshot".

It's all done now.

1. Bama
2. Oregon
3/4. FSU/OSU

5. Baylor
6. TCU

TCU isn't in the discussion IMO.

Ohio St should be in over both of them. But to much emphasis is placed on the head to head between Baylor and TCU. It was a 3 point loss by TCU on Baylors home field that was the 3rd game of the season. Early season losses have been and should be discounted to some extent. TCU just passes the eye test better than Baylor.

Now we got a playoff instead of the mean old BCS. Except this hasn't changed shite, there will always be teams that get left out and are upset. Anybody with half a brain saw this coming, and frick that Dr. Pepper commercial with Pedo Larry.

Exactly. Baylor beat TCU. Both finished 11-1.

Because they were ranked third this week and won their game 55-3. Baylor was ranked 6th, and didn't do enough to jump a TCU team that was already ranked 3 spots ahead of them. It's down to Ohio St. and TCU, Baylor has no chance.

They had 9 common opponents and TCU did better in 7 of those games

West Virginia.

H2h is only considered when everything else is equal. It's not.

Nothing should change, everyone won and the big ten is still the weakest conference with weakest win and worst loss
