And you sunshine pumpers and les lovers claim the negatigers would rather see the team lose so Les will be fired, but look at the above statement.

You people are delusional.

If Miles goes north, we'd likely lose more in recruiting than we'd gain in gameday decisions with the next coach. It would still be frustrating, just a different type of frustration.

He has never has been offered the job. The first time he was tied up winning the national championship

He was offered and accepted the first time and Herbstreit let the cat out of the bag so Les backed out of the deal - wisely so.

That "busy winning a title" part is nonsense. LSU wasn't in the title game until after Pitt beat WVU later that night. Les knew there was a shot LSU could get in, but it wasn't official until hours AFTER the SEC championship game.

Despite Miles being unable to beat Saban since 9-6 in Tuscaloosa, LSU fans better be very careful about hoping Miles goes to Michigan.

Les is very much appreciated by non LSU fans. they are much more objective; Michigan would absolutely love to be able to compete for their conference title again and Miles would bring that to them.

btw, there are MANY LSU fans that appreciate Miles also. they don't post on here but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. this board is NOT representative of LSU fans and is heavily monopolized by young people that have way too much time on their hands and really don't know shite about football or the "real" world. just read some of their posts. they will not be happy until one of their "coach dejours" comes to LSU and oversees an offense that amasses lots of yardage. they don't give a shite about defense. they just "assume" we'll win titles by gaining lots of yards.

True, but you’re reading this too literally. He knew that what chance he had hung first and foremost on beating Tennessee later that day, and didn’t want or need Herbie’s bullshite distracting from that task.

You don’t think your coach would have done the same last year at this time had the IB gone the other way? You think Saban wouldn’t address the rumors swirling that week about him and Texas if someone on a Sat. morning show said “I hear Texas is backing up the truck for Nick Saban and won’t take no for an answer”?

Who would you rather have, Miles or Saban?

this kind of shite is why I hate so many LSU fans. miles is always compared to saban and only saban. saban is NOT the LSU coach and never will be. w/o saban returning to bama, miles would probably have been regarding as one of the greatest coaches ever. but, it is what it is. saban has been gone 10 fricking years.

I'm confident they could, not that they would. I'd like to see what he does next year at LSU before parting ways.
