I have a Neti pot and buy those saline packets. Hot tap water and a couple packets when I need to clean out. One packet just for normal use. It is what I do most nights in cold season.

Posted by Kraut Dawg I do the same thing, but the neti pot is too weak for me. I use the one w/ the plastic bottle that you can squeeze to create more pressure.

Sudafed 24 hour
Allergra 24 hour
Mucinex DM 12 hour for cough and chest congestion
Afrin for fast relief
Vicks Vapor Rub under the nose
If I have a sore throat. I will allow a zinc vitamin to slowly dissolve on my tongue. As I swallow I make sure I go from side to side. Sore throat will be gone in the morning.

For those using tap water for your Netti pot solution, the safest thing to do is boil your water for 3-5 minutes, then pour some of that hot water in your pot and swirl it around to sterilize it. Empty that out. Let the remaining water cool down for 30 minutes to a warm and tolerable temp, then make the saline solution.

Tedious and time consuming, but I'd rather have safe clean water and a clean pot every time.

Believe it or not... This stuff works.

LINK

I was in the opening stages of a nasty sinus infection back in the summer, my wife had me try it one night at bedtime and the next morning it was totally gone. I've had sinus issues my whole life and tried just about everything you can imagine. The only other thing that's come close to working as good as this is Claritn D. But this stuff works better and does not cause the "medicine head" type side effects. I don't know how it works, I just know that it does.

My wife bought those essential oils. My favorite is the lavender which makes you sleep well.

I asked my wife and it's a mix a a number of different oils. She's in the bedroom wrapping presents and watching a movie so I didn't want to pester her too much. I'm not sure, but I think this may be it....

The reason I'm not sure is the label has come off the one I keep on my bathroom sink.

My wife has a whole bunch of these. I use the one for sinus and there is another one (peppermint I think) that I use when I get a headache, it works great as well. She has a bunch of others she uses and she swears by all of them.

Sudafed, you need a prescription for the extra strength, but just take a lot of the regular over the counter dose and it's the same. First thing I found to actually work... Musinex works but makes me feel like I'm going to have a heart attack so I stay away
