Anyone here do this for hunting and out at the camp in general? Can you generally get a full weekend out of a full charge?

Have a cousin that has property that everyone has gone to battery powered vehicles instead of gas...hunt success rate has noticeably increased

I've never used one for hunting, but we had one growing up. I would guess terrain and distances are the biggest question marks. If you're not travelling long distances in the mud, i would think it would be fine.

gas trucks are just as if not quieter,

electrical problems are a plenty, don't hold up over time and is expensive.

I assume your speaking of deer hunting.

4 wheelers have their place...mudd, load pulling/weights, durability, etc

Get gas not electric.

Get a Club Car over an EZ Go. Frame will not rust out.

at my buddy's camp we actually use bycicles, its about a 1 and a half mile ride along a road. we roll right up to the stands. i thought it was a dumb idea at first but its proved to be a very affective way of getting into the stand. when we've killed something we just ride back to his camp, hop on the 4wheelers and go get the kill

at my girlfriends dad's place he has switched to all golf carts, but there are good roads going all the way up to the stands and stuff.

it is def nice, i drove into a plot the other day and sat there for a while before some deer feeding 80 yds away noticed me

i agree, it sounds weird to do, but its great when we get off the road and have to negotiaite tight trails through the trees. i swear its genius though

I bought a EZ GO RXV last year and love it. Our roads are nice and our terrain is flat so that makes a big difference. I mainly use it to go to and from the stand. We use to walk everywhere and that got old quick.

We use gas powered (atv, utv, truck) until opening day then its to battery powered for the remainder of the season unless filling feeders or going deep into some bad stuff for a kill. Other then that the gas powered stays in the shed.

They make gas golf carts that are very quiet, we have a few here on the refinery at work.

I do that at deer camp in Arkansas. It is a great way to get out there and really isn't that slow. I have lights so others see me after dark. The other members thought I was crazy at first.

ETA: You still need a four wheeler or tractor for doing work and hauling things/deer through the woods.
For that I would not want electric.

I hunted a club that was electric cart only. Didnt make much sense because property on north and south border was 4wheelers. Deer def arent as spooked but imo they dont spook far from a 4wheeler when it passes.

Those quietkat bikes look fun but I doubt they could handle any terrain in the south.

You can even go buy ladies bicycles for the old men who can't lift a leg high to get on a bike.

I see hundreds every year at various sporting clays tournaments. Haven't yet seen a gas cart that was anywhere close to being as quiet as an electric one.
