While that Is f'ed up and I'm glad she has no major injuries Stay out of the road and you won't get run over. I'm sure the driver will face charges for assault possibly assault with a deadly weapon or possible attempted murder charges. Was the driver right no, were the protesters right maybe. I say maybe because it is my understanding that if you have the correct permits from the city you can protest within the area spelled out in the permit. If they didn't have the permit then the protesters were wrong as well. Who was more wrong will be the ultimate question. I believe that the drive will be found to be 'more' wrong because he caused bodily harm.

IMHO if the protesters didn't have the proper permits to protest they committed the first wrong and the drivers second wrong was because of their first wrong and he should not be charged. However he will probably be charged to the max.

Question for the legal scholars. Where does the liability of the City fall in all of this. If it was not a permitted protest and the police did not clear the roads are they not at fault?

Why was that driver detained looked like he was jus trying to get home and hooligans were jumping on his car and shite. Appeared to me he's just trying to keep his self safe.

They applaud the cops and tell them to get him...

So do they hate cops or like them?

I might be wrong, but pretty sure the allowed area wouldn't be in the middle of the road.

If your approved permit allows for the shutting down of a public street, the entity with the approved permit would be required to have the road blocked by law enforcement and/or public works setting up barricades and detour signs.

What a bunch of lunatics.

I don't know who had the right to be in the road at that point in time, but what are the legal ramifications of just flooring it once they surround you and are trying to smash your windows and presumably harm you?

So you wouldn't care if people were doing this to your vehicle?
