Reginald Denny stopped his truck. Many other cars in the video got through. Denny almost got killed.

id you even watch the video link I posted? They saw a crowd and were clearly dead set on driving through it before anyone get near them. shite, there was a car in front of them that was stopped who had common sense, and they decided to go around them.

This attitude pisses me off! Everybody else is now expected to bow down to these lowlife POS? This person was driving on a street, which is what a street is for! I can tell you I would have gunned it and would not have stopped. I work for everything I get and I'll be damned if I let a group of trash mourning a thieving thug intimidate me. This isn't about these protestors free speech. They are trying to cause exactly what happened and if you side with them, you're just as bad as they are!

And you'd have been arrested had you been identified.

Tell me, what does free speech & the right to peacefully assemble mean to you?

Causing harm to other people or destroying property? You're really gonna' convince me that blocking traffic doesn't err on the side of peaceful & that citizens should just mow those folks down with their cars?

What are you...10?

It means the GOVERNMENT cannot violate your rights to do those things.

Certainly, but it doesn't give private citizens a free pass to break the law either. But hey, keep dreaming of running people over b/c they blocked traffic.

I would have driven straight to the police station. And, I bet I have more belief in free speech than you. But when they are blocking a public street and endangering lives, it's gone much farther than free speech. These crazy bastards are out of control!

So peaceful is surrounding a dude's car and jumping on the hood?

Why should we feel sympathy for those morons?

Why not just move out of the way?

And lol if you think this person will get in trouble. He didn't just go full speed at them. Based on the video nothing will happen.

Your sympathies lie wherever they may; that's not something I'm trying to impose upon you.

But, for instance, I've driven through the Bywater the past couple of days to get over to Exxon in Chalmette and twice I've nearly slammed on my brakes; once due to a vagrant who alit from the curb in front of me for no reason I could discern & the second time b/c a guy & two girls decided to cross the street at an intersection despite me clearly having a green light to proceed.

Pissed me off both times, but I didn't lay on the accelerator.

Assembling without disrupting infrastructure and other citizens going about their daily lives. The mob was out of line. If that was a klan rally no one would have a problem if an african american ran them over to get to safety.

You are not talking about protesters blocking a thoroughfare. You are talking about pedestrians who were not safely crossing. Completely different. And you know it.

You didn't have a group of 20 plus people around your car, sitting on the hood and pounding on your windshield. Your two aforementioned situations are entirely different.

You could've just saved yourself the effort and typed "hyperbole" instead. Also, you act like all African-Americans are the counter to all Klansmen. You're dumb.

They also weren't threatening you on the hood of your car. There also seemed to be some sort of time table when they would move the frick out of your way. A when the couple crossed the street. B when the vagrant realized you were not going to give him dollar. Your story brings no value to this situation. But Thanks
