More specifically 2013 Tahoe LT vs Expedition Limited? Our budget is $35,000ish.
Just had a second child and would like a larger SUV for wife. Any experience with either of these cars?

I didn't think you could get a Tahoe that new for 35 k
Is the expedition new?
The new expedition with the ecoboost is nice but the Tahoe far outsells it
Eta: Oh and nb4 gaston tells us how bad SUV's suck

I bought a 2011 Tahoe in 2012 with 20k miles for 33.5k. Had a ding in the hood I got taken out for $60. Other than that, spotless. I was originally looking at much higher mileage cars in the $10k range. I drove several mid 2000s tahoes and expeditions. The tahoes all held up a lot better. Could have been a coincidence, but its what I observed. Now I will say I'm not overly happy with the interior quality of the tahoe. I've got a squeak in the back of that thing that I cant find. Even brought it in when it was under warranty. Everything is plastic and stands a chance at breaking. But I don't know whats better in that price range either. All cars are built like that now.

Unlikely that you will go wrong with either.
I've liked the three Fords that I owned very much. That said, the Yukon that I owned for a few years was probably my favorite overall.
Great ride, tight turning radius, good vision, great pickup and the only thing that broke on it while I had it was the fuel pump. $250 fix.

Tahoe is superior to the Expedition reliability wise. It will also be more expensive.

The Tahoe drives much better. The engine/transmission in both are rock solid but the Tahoe will have much better fit & finish. I'm a Ford Truck Man(TM) but their SUVs are ancient.

they did just redesign the expedition this year
I'm not sure if OP was looking at the new one though

Agree.
As noted, the only downside to the 2013 GM SUVs and trucks are the crappy interior bits. All that plastic starts to squeak and fall apart at about 4yes/50K. The door handles and power lock actuators also fail prematurely.
That said, the drivetrain and suspension are far better than the Fords of era.
