re: When did truck prices become so obscene? - sostan
Where are you finding good used trucks at half the price of new? When I was shopping earlier this year, certified pre-owned trucks were 80% new sticker price.
Nowhere. As usual, OTers talking out of their asses. Someo also made the argument of business purchasers being diff...
There seemed to be a slight "Delay " for the clock to start moving on the final play, where Bert Jones hit Brad Davis with a pass in the South EZ......
Clock operator fudged a bunch. Jones himself will laugh and tell you that there is no way that they ran 3 plays in 8 seconds an...

re: LSU is 11th in SEC with 27 football staff members - sostan
This means nothing. LOL "However, the NCAA told CBS Sports the methodology to measure the staff sizes of 127 FBS schools in 2016 came from mere website research." We all know that the genius of The Rant will over-analyze, show its ignorance and prove its stupidity drawing erroneous conclusion...

re: Barron Trump to attend private Episcopal school in Potomac, MD - sostan
How do so many people in louisiana afford to send their kids to private schools?
Because the public school option in certain areas is so poor and our children take priority. It is worth the forfeiture of material things for our children to be in a better learning environment....

re: What famous people have you ran in to at an airport? Which airport? - sostan
I met Little Jimmy Dickens in a Nashville bar about 10 years ago. He didn't have much to say but welcomed pictures with fans. He was in Tootsies and looked to be with a handler / sitter. He was wearing one of his signature rhinestone jackets and I think a small cowboy hat. :pimp: A quick googl...

re: If you had to suggest a replacement for our (USA) National Anthem, what would it be? - sostan
If that ever happens, let's just blow this shite (country) up and start over. Frick it. Countries dont last forever. USA has run its course. All good things must cone to an end. It's like rebuilding a sports franchize; Better to do it a little too early than a little too late. 3 Countries (2 ...

re: OT Home Repair Experts -- a bathroom question UPDATE WITH PICS - sostan
Sound like your tub has a drywall flange and it may have been flexed (stetched) to fit the opening instead of furring out the wall with lumber past the flange prior to hanging sheetrock. If this is the case, you will need to fit out the wall for a permanent fix....

re: Need new tires - f-150 - sostan
Not sure if you have a 4x4 or not but I just put Falken WildPeak AT3W 275/60R20 on my F150 4x4. Largest P-metric tire dize I could find but not obnoxious or oversized enough to ruin on-road performance. They measure 33"x11" on a 20x8.5 or wheel. I have a couple thousand miles on them so far. T...

re: Traveling and Wearing College Clothing - sostan
Hell, some people think it's acceptable to wear college shirts and jackets as "Sunday Best." These same people think the same of Realtree and Mossy Oak though. Always thought it was a little trashy to see those in church with either. I wear mine at or traveling to an actual game or to watch a ga...

I'll try to help. Not sure about exact pricing relative to your location but this is what it would cost me here as a contractor in southern Louisiana. Assuming reinforced 8x8x16 lightweight block with Type S mortar. For industrial use, I would reinforce as follows; bond columns at 32" with #...

re: 20 rd magazine for Remington 30-06 - sostan
I have a 15 round mag for my 30-06 Remington 742. My first deer rifle. Haven't fired that gun since 1994 though. No idea where to find a similar magazine. It came alonf with the used gun when I purchased it used in early 90s. Never had issues with it jamming as many claim about that model bu...
