Anyone have a strong rec on one of these for an early pre-game dinner?
Luke, Capdeveille, Herbsaint, Marcellos, Cochon, Cafe Adelaide, and Borgne.

Herbsaint is pretty fancy for a "pregame dinner" but I guess if you are dressed for it that would be the choice.
I like Cochon and BOrgne a lot personally, Borgne will be packed.
Capdeville is a pretty decent burger.

Herbsaint or Marcellos sounds like winners.
I like going to Herbsaint for pregame. You can get a bowl of soup and a small plate which is just enough.
Marcellos is next door and seems like a good choice.
What about Johnny Sanchez? I went last week before the noon game and it was perfect.

I made a reservation to give this place a 2nd shot this coming Friday, but Peche ended up not being booked like I thought it would be on Black Friday, so I'm canceling JS for Peche.
I'll do JS again someday..
OP: Borgne is really good.

LL you do know it's Bayou Classic weekend. Also JS is a ball sack.

Yo, wise, you've scratched Sanchez off the list?

Post pics from the people watching this weekend. And I imagine some restaurants will be 'closed for renovations/holidays' too.

My guesses:
I like a song out by Teyana Taylor.

Only ones that you wouldn't go to either way.
I think Galatoire's always closes though. (I could be wrong)
Peche and Sanchez won't be affected.

Gross.
I have no choice. I'll be in the city for Thanksgiving with Jones' family anyway.
We already agreed no Quarter (other than the fact that we're staying @ Hilton Riverside). Going watch the game and then doing Avenue or something Thursday evening. Peche for lunch Friday. Heading back to BR after.

Is that the "Schmony" guy? I'd like to the the only white guy there dancing to that.

That's Bobby Shmurda.
This is the "No flex zone" guy.

Thanks for the recs!
Started with apps and drinks at Cafe Adelaide. Very cool place and the crispy catfish tacos were the hit of the night - very tasty!
Went to LUKE and it was beyond packed, even at the bar so we went to Herbsaint and got a table outside. I had the top cut Ribeye rare and it was very tasty as were the fries. Should have tried some small plates - next time.
Post game went to Johnny Sanchez and had a bunch of tacos - the pork belly tacos being the best. The fish were not as good as Cafe Adelaide. The salsa were room temperature so I was not that impressed. Atmosphere was great - would have ben better had the Saints won!
Before heading home went to Surey Uptown on Magazine for breakfast - very very good. Had the corn beef with boudin with hash browns.
I love New Orleans and can't wait to get back to try some new (to me) restaurants and cafes.
