Saban cried about that play???

4th down and short. We called TO. IIRC, JJ pitched it to Ridley who handed-it off to DeAngelo. Great play call and Saban said post-game that someone had backside responsibility.

Actually I think the TE's LSU has right now are pretty good. They all are good blockers or wouldn't be on the field for Miles. Problem is they are checkdown receivers and rarely if ever the primary target. AJ doesn't do good job of checking down if his primary is covered (hello!!) so he either forces it or takes off. How many times have we seen the TE wide open, especially down the middle? It really is a shame as they could really be an integral part of the offense if able to be utilized. Sadly, they are not.

As for the best LSU has had in my recent memory, David Lafleur and you can end the discussion right there. That guy was in a league all his own.

Stokes caught a TD versus Ole Miss. Jennings can't go thru progressions fast enough to see othef wide open TEs.

I played high school football with TJ Dickson, and watched his brother Richard destroy when I was a couple of years younger. Both are exceptional athletes. I would say Richard. Just a monster.

Our TEs are very good.

We just don't use them in the passing game for some strange reason.

Gordon is a great blocker, Smith has great hands, Travis Dickson has great hands..... sure is a head scratcher as to why they're solely used for blocking.

pass them the ball more!!!!!

Umm the coaches don't throw passes. I'm sure cam told Jennings not to throw it to a wide open Gordon streaking down the middle of the field.

Again why are they running routes? Who are they blocking on pass plays 10 yards up field?

We have the talent, believe me we do with Smith and Washington. Both were top 5 TE recruits. Smith known for his incredible hands, and Washington was more receiver than TE.

It's insane, but with Dupre, Quinn, Diarse, Dural, Chark (who is like a Dural clone in physical abilities), Smith, Washington, Fournette, and 2015 Guice, we have a ridiculous amount of talent to catch passes the next couple of years. There is no reason why we shouldn't be throwing the ball a lot next year. Ridiculous, stupid, absurd, and obnoxious amount of weapons at our disposal for 2015 and 2016.

70% Shotgun, up tempo. base three WR set, some two TE sets with Washington and Smith lined up in the slot. Five wide with Dupre, Quinn, Chark. Dural, and Guice (speed package). Read option from shotgun with Guice or Quinn on an end around with Fournette, Williams, or Ducre in the backfield (Ohio state and Wisconsin kill with this). Five wide Spears, Washington, Smith, Ferguson, Dupre (big package). Speed option Harris, Fournette or Harris and Guice. The diamond formation they used that one time with Ducre, Fournette, and Guice all in the same backfield with Harris.

I mean we have the talent over the next two years to just be relentless on offense.

Please tell me you bring more to the table than that! Please tell me you didn't bring a knife to a gun fight!

Ummm how about the coaches call more plays that are designed for the TE's maybe that will help Jennings not to miss a wide open Gordon streaking down the middle of the field.

Les Miles says "LSU is truly a place where tight ends come to die". Wait maybe that's not if.

The non-use of him is mystifying. Does he have any catches in his career yet?

No, but he almost got killed against Arky when Jennings air mailed it and got the arky player thrown out of the game.

We're gonna leave that in the playbook to be used come bowl time.

If Jimmy Graham played TE at LSU, nobody would even know his name. He would just b another unused talent.
