Maybe not intentionally, ... or not at all. But unless hundreds, if not thousands of people are just coordinating the same lie, you will park one day in a spot you think is "legal" only to return to an empty space.

I can't wait for that day and I will know when it happens because I will feel the disturbance in the force....and I will smile.

As previously stated, Riverside tows people who aren't parked illegally.

I once lived in a condo in a complex next to a college. I owned the condo, and had a designated parking space in the lot with warning signs that un-authorized cars would be towed. I lost count of how many times we had to call to have a car towed out of our space. The excuses were always the same, " I was only parked there a few minutes, the lot was empty so I didn't think it would matter,"

You sound pretty cool.

It's pretty obvious that he's got some personal connection to the company.

I remember one time I was at a friend's house at Campus Crossing at Brightside a few years ago. I parked in a visitor's spot, but they towed me anyway. And when I asked them to show me the tape, they saw I was in a visitor spot and they were in the wrong, but they didn't give a shite. They said they were gonna charge me even after they made a mistake, and I had to give those dumb fricks almost $250 to get my car back. No surprise, but Riverside Towing is trash. frick those low life idiots.

My son had a few dealings with them. Best part is he stopped them every time they tried to tow him. And yes, they are TPOS.

I have people that block my driveway or within 3 feet of my driveway towed all the time. I guess I am an a-hole.

I had a car towed ONCE in Auburn for parking in a spot right next to a guest spot. Lot was relatively empty too. 100$ to get it back.

Caught them every time when they when to hook up to him. They didn't even look at his parking pass. He is able to park anywhere on campus. He is a contractor out there.

Shitty that you shouldn't have been towed, but $100 is A LOT more reasonable than $300.

YES, It sounds like you are a total a-hole, but that has nothing to do with the fact that people were rightfully towed from places around your property they should have been towed from.

It's quite simple. If you block my driveway and I cannot leave when I need to because you are too good to walk an extra 50 feet, you can visit the impound lot on North Claiborne.

A couple years a go they were using a beat up little navy blue car and two guys would get out and mark the concrete behind the vehicle with orange paint. Then they would disappear and a couple tow trucks would swoop in. That way the tow driver never had to get out of his truck. On one occasion however he did get out of his truck. And I know the guy who slashed both passenger tires on the sidewall with a knife.

My favorite tactic of theirs, feel free to try to defend this, they tow your car but then only open for pick ups at midnight. They then charge you the legally allowable "overnight storage fee" since it is technically the next day. My friends car got towed around 9 and we showed up there at 10. The Deputy working the gate said no one was there but called the Manager. They showed up around 11 but dawdled about and made excuses until they brought the paperwork out at the crack of 12. Sure enough, overnight storage fee. I was livid, called the Sheriff about it and his deputies don't work that detail anymore.

I was never towed by them but my roommate bodied my truck and got it towed. Park behind our friends vehicles that were under their carport. He ran in for a minute. Literally left the driver door open he was going in so fast. Said when he came out, they were driving away with my truck. Technically, he was wrong and they had a right to row it, but it's still a shitty practice.

They literally hang out in complexes and watch for people to park where they shouldn't. Doesn't matter if the lot is full or empty. They just want that money.

Never dealt with them but it sounds like people should take it up with the businesses that hire them to tow from their property
