I now completely understand what Gruber was talking about. Obama has lied non-stop to us for the last six years and yet people like you continue to believe him.

So what happens after three years?

I guess I don't see how this changes anything.

Unless you want to pull out the tin foil hat and assume the "plan" is for the children born in the 3 years that are magically American citizens of a demographic they pander to.

None of the parameters are going to be enforced. The illegals will not be deported, regardless.

Obama talked about strengthening border security in his speech...

I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, he's full of shite.

If it's such a good plan, put that shite up for a vote. If the American people don't want it, it doesn't matter how good of a plan it is. That's the entire premise of this discussion. He cannot decree shite by fiat because he knows whats best for us. That is not how things are supposed to be done around here.

I don't care what other shite presidents did it. I don't want it done now. Vote on it.

Same to me. I have no problems with the plan just the method in which it is being implemented.

Republicans should pass the same bill with border security, and claim they're ratifying the President's lawless action.

That's actually not a bad idea.

It would be a great idea if polling showed that voters actually wanted this. If they did this, they'd be spreading their cheeks and shitting on the people who voted them in to deal with Obama's bullshite.

And did our brilliant Republican politicians make a big stink about it before he even said specifically what he was doing?
And in the process make themselves look stupid, reactionary, and the party of no?

People sure as hell don't favor mass deportations.

It would certainly help their perception within the minority community however.

At this point, with Obama already having whipped out his dick and telling every to deal with it, they might as well make the best of it.

Definitely not, but that's what some of us elected the GOP to do, and there is no chance in hell they're going to do it.

I would never vote Republican ever again. They were not elected to be Democrats.

After a quick look at what he will be doing, much of it seems to exceed his authority.

It looks like he is trying to rewrite existing laws without all the needless hassle of actually getting congress to pass them.

It looks like he will be lying to immigrants, saying you now have the right to stay for 3 years, when actually they can be deported as son as there is a Attorney General willing to follow the law as written.

It will take a little time to review everything, but I think he screwed up.

Well, there are a few.

First, how are we supposed to determine how much these formerly illegal aliens owe in back taxes?

Second, what if they refuse to pay?

Third, what if they don't "come out of the shadows?" Do we deport them when we find them?

Fourth, is there going to be a special department created within the IRS to handle these millions of new 'taxpayers?' Where is that money coming from?

The crux of the problem from the liberal POV is that they mistakenly believe these people want to become Americans, but nothing could be farther from the truth. They've been living here illegally for some time already, so what is the incentive for them to come forward? The right to pay taxes? Even the most backward arse retard from BFE won't "come out of the shadows" just to pay taxes unless he's forced to do so. There is nothing in this plan that forces them to do anything. In fact, with the threat of deportation lifted, there is even less incentive to do so.

It'd be awesome to frick him though.

Send him his own EO as a bill with tight border security and make him sign or veto it? He'd look like a clown.
