cracks me up every time. I laugh everytime i see your name and the picture below it.
that line, "you serious clark", "if it wouldn't be to much to, i'd like to get something for you Clark, something real nice" are my favorite Eddie lines.

Never had a flu shot.
Never had the flu.

Love that part too, I've embraced it since everyone quotes it to me when I tell them I work at dams.

Really? All it's going to take is one round of flu to make a believer out of you

one of the best things people can do. People love to laugh about it but plenty of young otherwise healthy (I'm talking people in their 20s and 30s) die from it each year (people aged 25-60 account for about 60% of flu deaths last season.)
And anyone who tells you they got the flu from the shot doesn't understand science. The nasal mist can give you a flu-like prodrome but the shot is not scientifically able to give you the flu.

It doesn't give you the flu. But some people are sensitive to the heavy metal preservatives and have a reaction that causes flu like symptoms. Which is why some people think the shot always gives them the flu

A decent amount of people are sensitive to thiomersal (the preservative) but studies have shown that the amount given doesn't elicit responses even compared to what's used in a skin patch test.
The big thing is people catch a cold and it just happens to kick in around the time they get the vaccine and they understandably attribute the cold to the vaccine as 'the flu.'

Thimerosal isn't alone though. There is a lot of aluminium, and that's usually the kicker

Never had the vaccine.
Never had the flu.
I just wash my hands and stay away from sick people. Boom.

Yea. I'd just rather deal with any potential minor reaction to it than what you see the flu do to some people, a lot of whom never thought it'd be a problem

The flu vaccine should be phased out. Let those who are going to get sick, get sick (and maybe die) and that way a stronger race of humans will live to keep the human race going. This is how we fight human extinction. A few may die so others may live. Who's with me?

Agreed

I don't get it because I am one of those super sensitive people. Makes me sick every time. Not saying other people should or should not. Just that is the reason behind people claiming it gives them the flu. Misinformed. But it can make you ill.

Insurance covers the cost, I live in a major city and I travel for work semi frequently.
I'd be stupid not to get one.

i've known a few people who got the flu vaccine and then were stricken with paralyzing MS symptoms. Prolly just the chemicals....those ware off after 700 years.

How would Darwinism take me out b/c i don't get a flu shot? I'd like someone to link something that shows healthy adults that die from the flu.
Facts:
I Knew a guy who didn't get a vaccination for the flu last year. He got attacked by a pittbull and terribly mutilated. Cops came and refused to shoot the dog because they were afraid of catching the flu from the guy, who obviously was unprotected.
Can't say I blame them.
Another guy refused to get the shot and got shot a few days later. Bled to death.
A few years back, a guy pointed a gun at me and I didn't get shot. I had already had my flu shot that year.
Another guy refused the shot and found his wife in bed with the pool boy the next day. She sued him for failure to get a flue shot and got all his money. She and the pool boy (Who always gets his shot) now are spending the guy's money in the Bahamas.
Bill Gates gets his flu shot every year as does Warren Buffett. Neither have lost a wife to the pool boy.
I got a plague vaccination while in the army and have never got the plague. Also got rich afterwards, married a beautiful woman and my kids, grandkids and dog all love me. The wife hates our pool boy.
I have had a flue shot every year for over 40 years. I must say that there is a possibility they have contributed to my getting old.
I will say that I have little sympathy for sick people, so don't come bitching at me.
I can share more if needed.
